What do I do when life isn't fair?

Join us for Week 3 of our Summer Stories as we look at the life of Joseph and discover this
powerful truth:

God is working even when nothing is working.

Most of us love Joseph’s ending.

However, few of us would volunteer for Joseph’s process.

We admire the palace, but we often forget the pit. We celebrate the promotion, but overlook the prison.

The dreams came quickly.
The fulfillment took years.

Between the promise and the palace were betrayal, slavery, false accusations, disappointment, and long seasons of waiting.

Joseph’s story reminds us that God’s timing rarely matches our expectations.

The difficult truth is that God’s promises often arrive on the other side of seasons we would never choose for ourselves.

This Sunday we’ll explore what God is doing when life feels unfair and why some of our greatest moments of spiritual growth happen in seasons that seem completely wasted.

Because sometimes what feels like a detour is actually preparation.

One of the most overlooked details in Genesis 22 is that Abraham called the place “The Lord Will Provide” before he ever saw the ram in the thicket.

His confidence wasn’t in the provision.

His confidence was in God’s character.

Real surrender isn’t trusting God after He comes through.
It’s trusting Him before He does.

Abraham had learned something over the years: God may not always explain Himself, but He is always faithful.

And perhaps the greatest lesson from Moriah is this:

God never intended Isaac to die.

The story was always pointing us to another Father, another Son, and another mountain. Abraham was spared from sacrificing his son, but centuries later God would not spare His own.

The ram caught in the thicket reminds us that God Himself provides what we could never provide on our own.

Yesterday we talked about Noah and what it means to obey God when it doesn’t make sense.

The truth is, Noah didn’t have all the details.
He didn’t have proof.
He didn’t have a timeline.

He just had a word from God.

Today, many of us are still waiting for God to explain what He’s already asked us to do.

But delayed obedience is still disobedience.

Maybe your next step is forgiveness.
Maybe it’s generosity.
Maybe it’s serving.
Maybe it’s trusting God in an area where you can’t see the outcome.

Faith isn’t believing after you see the evidence.
Faith is acting before you see the results.

What’s one thing God has been asking you to do that you’ve been putting off because it doesn’t make sense?

Take the step.

The rain didn’t start until after Noah started building.

Sometimes obedience doesn’t come with an explanation.

Sometimes God asks you to take a step before He shows you the destination.

Imagine Noah. No storm clouds. No rain in sight. Just a word from God and a choice: trust Him or trust what made sense.

Faith isn’t proven when everything adds up.
Faith is proven when it doesn’t.

Maybe you’re in a season where God is calling you to forgive, give, serve, wait, move, stay, or trust even though none of it makes sense right now.

What if the miracle isn’t in understanding?
What if the miracle is in obeying?

This Sunday we begin our Summer Stories series with Noah’s story and a message called:

“When It Doesn’t Make Sense”

You might be surprised how much his story sounds like yours.

See you Sunday.

When God asks you to do something that doesn’t make sense, will you trust Him anyway?

Noah built an ark before there was rain.
He obeyed before he understood.
He trusted God when everyone else thought he was crazy.

This Sunday we kick off Summer Stories with the story of Noah and a message for anyone walking through uncertainty:

“When It Doesn’t Make Sense.”

Come discover how faith grows when obedience comes before understanding.
