Sponsorship Opportunity:

Many of the men and women at God's Resort have experienced significant trauma throughout their lives. While recovery, employment, and stable housing are important steps forward, true freedom often requires healing from the wounds of the past.

God's Resort is offering a is a 14-week Christ-centered class designed to help our residents begin the process of healing from childhood and adult trauma. Through guided lessons, personal reflection, and a supportive environment, participants learn how past experiences have impacted their lives and discover pathways toward healing, hope, and freedom.

The total cost of The Journey is $40 per participant. To encourage ownership and commitment to the process, each resident is asked to contribute $20 toward their class guidebook and materials. We are seeking sponsors to cover the remaining $20 per participant, helping remove financial barriers while allowing residents to invest in their own healing journey.

A gift of $20 sponsors one resident, but gifts of any amount are appreciated and will help more men and women participate in this life-changing opportunity.

A Special Day at God’s Resort!

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming Pete Ramsour from the Joplin Regional Community Foundation’s Philanthropic Society as he stopped by to personally deliver the $50,000 grant award to God’s Resort!

This generous funding will help cover resident utility expenses, allowing us to keep housing costs lower so residents can focus on paying down debt, building savings, and working toward long-term stability.

At God’s Resort, we know that recovery and restoration thrive when individuals and families have the margin, support, and peace of mind to focus on their future. Partnerships like this make that possible.

We are incredibly grateful to Pete, the Philanthropic Society, and everyone involved in making this investment in our community. Thank you for believing in our mission and for helping create opportunities for lasting change in the lives of those we serve.

Transition Tuesday

This past Sunday, we had the privilege of celebrating Mark as he transitions out of God’s Resort and into his next chapter!

It was such a special evening filled with encouragement, gratitude, and celebration as we reflected on all that Mark has accomplished during his time here. His hard work, perseverance, and commitment to growth have been inspiring to watch, and we are so proud of the progress he has made.

Mark, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We are excited to see what God has in store for you as you take this next step. Please know that you will always be part of the God’s Resort family!

Serving Saturday

These photos capture something that happens often at God’s Resort: our team rolling up their sleeves and doing whatever needs to be done.

With 42 homes to care for, there is always grass to mow, projects to complete, repairs to make, and properties to maintain. These homes provide safe, affordable, and dignified housing for our residents, and keeping them that way takes a village.

Our Facilities Team is currently looking for volunteers who enjoy working with their hands, tackling maintenance projects, or spending time outdoors doing yard work. Whether you have a few hours a week or can help on an occasional project, your time can make a real difference.
