🔄 Transition Tuesday 🔄
Today, we are excited to launch a new series called Transition Tuesday, where we’ll spotlight former residents who have transitioned from God’s Resort and are continuing to thrive in their journey of freedom, growth, and independence.
Our first spotlight is Krystal Valadez-Coronado, AKA: “Krystal with a K!” ❤️
In 2020, Krystal moved into God’s Resort with just over one year of sobriety, a few personal belongings, and a determination to build a better future. What followed was a journey marked by faith, perseverance, healing, and countless examples of God’s provision.
While living at God’s Resort, Krystal worked hard to pay off child support arrears, court fines, and other debts that once seemed impossible to overcome. Within just a few years, she had paid them all off and achieved financial freedom.
But perhaps the greatest miracle was the restoration of her family.
When Krystal arrived at God’s Resort, she did not have custody of any of her children. Through prayer, perseverance, and the support of the God’s Resort community, she was able to regain legal custody and adopt both of her sons back into her family. God also restored her relationship with her oldest daughter.
Today, Krystal is celebrating 8 years of sobriety, owns her own Habitat for Humanity home, and serves as a Quality Engineer, a position she attained through years of hard work, growth, and trusting God to open the right doors.
When reflecting on her time at God’s Resort, Krystal shared:
“They say that home isn’t a place but it’s a feeling. This is my home, these are my people, and this is my renewed life.”
“I am nothing special or different from anybody else. I just followed Him, listened to Him, and listened to the people He placed in my life.”
Krystal’s story is a beautiful reminder that no situation is beyond God’s redemption and that hope, healing, and transformation are possible.
Please join us in celebrating all that God has done and continues to do in Krystal’s life! ❤️
