Joliet Jewish Congregation Welcomes Rabbi Brian Serle as New Spiritual Leader
JOLIET, IL — May 1, 2026 — The Joliet Jewish Congregation is proud to announce the appointment of Rabbi Brian Serle as its new spiritual leader. Rabbi Serle joins the congregation to lead its vibrant community into a new chapter of faith, fellowship, and continued dedication.
Rabbi Serle brings extensive experience providing compassionate, inclusive, and spiritually grounded Jewish leadership across a full range of lifecycle events. His background includes a deep expertise in both children’s and adult education, ensuring thoughtful teaching that meets individuals and communities exactly where they are. Beyond his accomplishments in Jewish studies and traditions, Rabbi Serle is also recognized as an accomplished orator and musician.
"We are delighted to formally welcome Rabbi Brian Serle to our congregational family and to the wider Will County area," said Dianne Parker, President of the Joliet Jewish Congregation. "Our members have shown incredible dedication throughout this transition, and we are thrilled to have a leader who shares our commitment to a warm, inviting, and fulfilling community spirit."
The congregation invites the community of Joliet and surrounding areas to join them in welcoming Rabbi Serle. Under his guidance, the synagogue looks forward to building on its century-long legacy of being a home for Jewish life in the region.
