Our youth group had their final confirmation lesson in Friday, lead by Bill Wilson. The kids raised 515$ on their peanut sales and were able to go yesterday for a day of fun at Scene 75. Bill Wilson and Kim Giugler provided them with a pizza party afterwards. All 9 (Seiana, Isaac, Charlotte, Makenna, Alex, Landon, Lyla, Gio and Eli are ready for the next step. Thanks for showing and the participation, the leadership and the parents for continuing to support these young people on their faith journey. Bill we really appreciate you!

We had a great day and met lots of nice people. Thanks to everyone who came out for the CAPA - Cathedral Area Preservation Association garage sale. A special thanks to Sue Coffman and Peri O'Connor for organizing and working the bake sale. We will have the extras for sale at coffee hour tomorrow morning. Thanks you to those who baked and brought their goodies: Diane Jefferson and Jim, Tom and Nancy Wilkins, Tonya Barlow, Debbie Hence, Kim Giugler, Peri and Sue.

Tables spaces were
Frank and Tracy Lozano, Mark Tucci snd Ellie, Becky, Jeremy and Eduardo and the group of Scouts, Debbie Hence, Kim Giugler, Kathy Keasler. participated as well. So grateful for this beautiful day and this beautiful opportunity to meet so many people.

C.A.P.A. (Cathedral Area Presevation Association) Garage Sale is this weekend, August 6th - 8th. will participate Saturday only from 8 - 3. Table space still available for $10. Rummage items, craft show and bake sale. Plus # will be there from 12 - 3. Come out, purchase a wonderful lunch and browse the tables. Our youth group will be there selling peanut and water. The Boy Scouts will be there too. Get information about joining their pack. Thanks in advance to all those who are dropping off baked goods. You can drop them off at 206 N Midland Ave in Joliet on Friday from 3pm - 6pm. Cya all there Saturday. Here is the map for all the participating locations. You are sure to find a treasure.

UPDATE - Anyone wanting to donate baked goods, you can drop off at church between 3 - 6 on Friday August 7th. Thanks to all the generous people who can help out. ❤️

The Cathedral Area Garage Sale is just around the corner. We are hosting a site on August 8th and will be listed on their map. We will also have Japos Taco y Antojitos food truck serving lunch from 12 - 3. If you are interested in reserving a space, contact Kim ([email protected]). Each space will be $10. We have some tables with rummage items, some will showcase their homemade crafts and inside We will hold a bake sale while supplies last. Please mark your calendars and we hope to see many people passing through as the weather that day will be beautiful.

A special thank you to those who take special care of the properties at St. Edward and Christ Campus, from the flowers to the vegetable garden that benefit those in need in our community. As well as those who are working tirelessly maintaining and beautifying the Persell House and Barn, way overdue cleanouts of the trailer, corn crib and the addition of the benches at the firepit. New carpeting, floors, kitchen, gutter guards. Its nice to see the love that is shepherding these locations. Your special care and service is very much appreciated. I cannot neglect to include those who fulfill their pledge the best they can and those who have made very generous donations to make these upgrades and routine maintenance and projects such as the new doors, resurfaced parking lot, stained fences and porch, electrical work possible. More to come!
