The River

The River Sharing Loads of God's Love! Helping women help themselves since 2004. For some women, The River is a stepping stone to self-sufficiency.

Serving women and children in our community through a variety of services and the practice of radical hospitality. Since opening our doors on October 4, 2004, The River has served over 1,000 women and children in need. Many are without support networks and are at severe risk of falling between the cracks into greater poverty, homelessness, and desperation. The River has several core programs devel

oped to meet the basic and supportive needs of the women and children we serve. For most women, The River assists in meeting basic needs on a daily basis. Guests value The River for its comprehensive and unique programs and for the compassionate and respectful manner in which they are offered. We believe that every woman has gifts and strengths that she can build on to be successful. It is our hope that The River can bring new life!

🚨 ATTENTION FAMILIES! 🚨

Good Samaritan Ministries is excited to announce that our Summer Food Program and Hot Meal Distribution is underway! Families (totaling 3 or more) with school-aged children and teens are encouraged to mark their calendars for our upcoming food box distribution dates and locations.

Food boxes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 550 eligible families.

📌 IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
✅ Registration will take place onsite.
✅ A valid photo ID is required.
✅ Proof of household dependents must be provided.
✅ Household must consist of 3 or more people, including school-aged children and/or teenagers.

Our goal is to help ensure that children and youth and their families in need have access to nutritious food throughout the summer months.
We look forward to serving you!
