There are things God has prepared for you that your eyes have not seen, your ears have not heard, and your mind has not been capable of imagining. The Holy Spirit, reveals these things to us as we pray. Prayer is not merely talking to God. It is the environment in which vision is born. What feels invisible is not absent. It is incubating. The promise is real before it is visible. Keep praying.

Mark 11:22-25

Faith and prayer are inseparable. One without the other is powerless. Jesus makes clear in this passage that believing prayer — prayer free from doubt, prayer rooted in trust — carries extraordinary authority. But He also makes clear that this is not a blanket promise handed to anyone. Conditions exist. Unforgiveness, carnality, and self-centered motives all hinder the kind of prayer that moves mountains.

Exodus 33:11

The God who spoke the universe into existence wants to know you personally. He is a Father who desires intimacy. He knows the number of hairs on your head. The way intimacy is cultivated is prayer. We can have a genuine, honest, ongoing conversation with the living God. What a God we serve!

Exodus 33:7-14

Every great move of God in the Old Testament followed the same pattern: a tragic decline, the righteous judgment of God, a burdened leader who refused to accept the status quo, and then an season of corporate prayer that captured the heart of God. Moses did not sit in the camp and hope things would improve. He pitched a tent outside -- away from the noise, away from the sin, away from the distraction -- and he went there to meet with God. That tent of meeting was not a program. It was not a strategy. It was a declaration that nothing would move forward until God was present. The early church in the book of Acts operated the same way. They had no financial backing, no social standing, no institutional power -- and yet they turned the world upside down, because every page of Acts finds them praying. Prayer was not their preparation for the work. Prayer was the work.

Joel 2:18-27

One thing we see in the book of Joel is how quickly God responds once the hearts of His people turn toward Him. The locusts had stripped the land bare. The drought had cracked the soil. The offerings had stopped because there was nothing left to bring. And yet the moment the people genuinely sought His face, God moved. He pulled the rainy seasons together. He filled the vats. He restored what had been lost. This is the nature of the God we pray to -- He is not reluctant, not indifferent, not slow to show compassion. He is just waiting for the first honest movement of a repentant heart before He releases His presence and power. Your situation may feel as barren as a locust-stripped field. Do not mistake His patience for His absence. He is waiting on you.
