Mar-Lu-Ridge is a year-round outdoor ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America situated in the beautiful Catoctin Mountains of central Maryland. We serve through our summer camp, year-round retreat and conference center, and programs offered throughout the year. We offer lodging in cabins, a Lodge, and our beautifully renovated Ridge Inn. All are Welcome! We are committed to providing

a safe and inclusive environment which reflects the lessons Jesus taught us: to love one another, even as I have loved you. (John 13:34)

We are located in scenic Frederick County, Maryland. An hour from Baltimore and Washington, DC.

🌟 2026 Summer Staff — Meet Alex! 🌟

Alex (he/him) is very excited for his first official year on summer staff and his 13th year on the mountain! Last summer, Alex was a part of our S.I.T. program before joining our summer staff. He is a graduating senior from BHSEC Baltimore, and plans on attending Towson University in the Fall for Electronic Media & Film! 🎬

🏀 Alex enjoys filmmaking, sports journalism, hiking & camping, playing basketball, cooking, and listening to music in his free time. He cannot wait to be at MLR this summer!

🌟 2026 Summer Staff — Welcome Back, Jeremiah! 🌟

Jeremiah (he/him) has been coming to camp as long as he can remember, and is coming back for his fourth summer as a cabin leader and support staff. During the rest of his year, he works as a lifeguard and is in school to become a teacher. 👨‍🏫

⚽ 🧗 Jeremiah is excited to play lots of games, spend time in nature, and do high ropes!

Fun fact: Jeremiah once ate a hamburger with literally every food (and drink) available on it! 🍔

We’re so glad you’re back, Jeremiah! 🙌☀️🌲
