In part 1 we'll learn that the name of Jesus stands above every other name—past, present, and future—because it carries the authority, power, and victory of the risen Christ.

When we live and act in His name, we step into His strength, not our own, becoming vessels of His love, courage, and hope in the world. To go “in His name” is to live empowered by His presence and aligned with His purpose.

John 17:3 is a profound verse from the Bible where Jesus speaks about eternal life. This scripture is not only a statement of belief, but it's also a prayer that Jesus is saying before His followers.

The scripture begins with a clear definition of what eternal life is: knowing God and Jesus Christ. Eternal life is not just living forever; it is about an intimate relationship with God. It tells us that to have eternal life, we must know God personally.

The Greek word for “know” used here indicates more than just knowledge of facts; it involves a personal relationship that is deep and meaningful. We, as believers, are invited into this relationship with our Creator.

This weeks message is titled, "The Power of Small Numbers." The Bible highlights how God often uses what seems insignificant when it comes to numbers or a small group of people to accomplish His divine purposes.

This theme is woven throughout Scripture, demonstrating that God's strength and wisdom are not bound by human limitations or expectations.

This message will be focusing on church growth and I love this quote by Margaret Mead that said, “Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world.”

Even though we are a small church, my prayer and hope is we will be a group of committed people to accomplish God's purpose.

Message Title: Resilient
Scripture: Joshua 1:9

This week I'll be talk about being resilient. Being resilient means to be able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions, and most people like the idea of being resilient.

• We admire people who can keep going when life gets difficult.
• We look up to the person who walks through loss and still worships,
• the friend who stays faithful through disappointment,
• the believer who keeps praying even when the answer hasn’t come yet.
And if we’re honest, we want that kind of strength too. But then real life happens.
• The diagnosis comes.
• The relationship gets strained.
• The bills pile up.
• The dream doesn’t work out.
• The door closes.
• The child wanders.
• The job becomes uncertain.
• The grief lingers longer than people expected it to.
• You wake up one morning and realize you’re still carrying something you thought would be resolved by now.

God calls His people to be strong and courageous, not because life is easy, but because He is with us wherever we go. Christian resilience is rooted in the presence of God and the eternal hope we have in Christ, enabling us to stay faithful through trials, adversity, and discouragement.

Message Title: Abide in Me
Scripture: John 15:1-8

This week I'll be sharing eight verses from John's gospel. It’s titled the true vine. This passage is part of Jesus’ farewell discourse, delivered on the night of His arrest. The purpose is to explain to His disciples’ the ongoing relationship they would have with Jesus once He was no longer physically present. The vine metaphor emphasizes four things:

• Dependence on Jesus for spiritual life.
• The necessity of abiding.
• Fruitfulness as the mark of true discipleship.
• The Father’s role as the vine grower.

Abiding in Christ involves more than occasional moments of devotion. It’s a daily relationship characterized by trust, obedience, and dependence.

Jesus also emphasized the importance of His word remaining in us. As we fill our hearts and mind with Scripture, our desires begin to align with God’s will. We learn to love and praise what brings Him glory.

Because of this close relationship Jesus gives a remarkable promise regarding prayer. When believers abide in Him and His Word it shapes our lives, our prayers, which increasingly reflects God’s purpose.

Prayer becomes less about persuading God to accomplish our plans and more about partnering with Him in His work.

Series: Hidden Treasure
Message Title: Part 3: Living for What Matters Most
Scripture: Philippians 3:7–14

As I bring this series of “Hidden Treasure” to a close let’s do a quick recap.

In week 1, we listened to Jesus in Matthew 6, where He said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” and we talked about how our pursuits reveal what we truly value.

Last week, in Luke 12, Jesus warned us through the parable of the rich fool that lesser treasures can look like wisdom while slowly convincing us that life is found in having more. We saw that possessions can fill barns, bank accounts, garages, closets, and calendars, but they can’t fill the soul.

Part 3 is the key to this series. When we truly see the surpassing worth of Christ, we stop treating Him as an addition to our lives and begin reordering everything around Him. The hidden treasure of the Kingdom leads us to release lesser things, pursue Jesus wholeheartedly, and live with eternal clarity.

Title: Hidden Treasure
Part 2: The Danger of Lesser Treasures
Scripture: Luke 12:13–21 ESV
Time: 11:00am

Last week, we began our series “Hidden Treasure” by listening to Jesus in Matthew 6. He told us, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” and then He called us to “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.”

The message talked about how our pursuit reveals our treasure, because what we chase shows what we value. We also saw that earthly treasures can’t carry eternal weight, and Jesus lovingly calls us to re-center our lives around what lasts.

In Part 2, I'll be talking about “The Danger of Lesser Treasures.”

Lesser treasures rarely announce themselves as idols; they quietly gain influence by promising security, satisfaction, and significance. Jesus warns us that life is not found in abundance, accumulating things, or visible success, but our treasure can be found in God.

And I want to say this carefully from the beginning. This sermon is not a guilt trip for having possessions, earning a living, planning for the future, saving wisely, or enjoying good gifts.

Scripture doesn’t condemn wise stewardship. Proverbs speaks often about diligence, planning, and provision.

The danger Jesus exposes today is more subtle than that. It’s the quiet belief that if we can just have enough, store enough, build enough, earn enough, or control enough, then we’ll finally be safe, and satisfied and that's were the story from Luke 12:13-21 comes into play.

Part 1: What Are You Chasing?

I like to start by asking you a question. What if the thing you’ve been searching for has been in front of you all along?

Jesus said in Matthew 13:44, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field.”

What Jesus is saying is it’s not obvious, it’s not flashy, but immeasurably valuable, but people miss it because they were too busy chasing other things.

But what if what matters most isn’t what is most visible? What if the greatest treasure is still waiting to be found? Which brings me to ask you, what are you chasing?

Everyone is searching for something, but what we pursue reveal what we truly treasure. Jesus invites us to examine whether we are chasing temporary rewards of this world or seeking first the hidden treasure of God’s Kingdom.

This is why I want to start a new three-week series called, “Hidden Treasure.” The idea behind this series is simple, but it goes deep: the Kingdom of God is often hidden beneath what is visible, immediate, and impressive, yet when we truly see its worth, everything changes.

So I'm send you this invite to join us on this new exciting journey to discover the Hidden Treasure God has for you.

Title: America at 250: Remembering Our Roots, Renewing Our Commitment
Scripture: Psalm 33:12 – “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.”

On Saturday July 4, 2026 we will celebrated the 250th birthday of America. The United States of America officially declared its independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776, when the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Formally announcing that the thirteen colonies were no longer subject to British rule and were now united, free, and independent states.

Although the Congress voted for independence on July 2, the adoption of the Declaration on July 4 is commemorated as the nation’s birthday.

What an amazing accomplishment. 250 years ago, a group of ordinary men and women dared to believe in something extraordinary.

They had no guarantee of success—only a conviction that freedom was worth the risk. 56 men signed the Declaration of Independence.

These signers represented a unified commitment to America’s independence. By signing their names, they understood it could cost them their lives.

I love America. I feel blessed and proud to be an American. But there are two questions that comes to my mind.

1. What does the future of America look like?
2. Is the culture influencing Christians away from true faith?

These are the questions I hope to answer. So, we hope you can join us this week as we celebrate America's Birthday.
