We had life-giving conversations today with author and homeless advocate, Kevin Nye. We continue to believe that if we know better, we can do better. And we do better together!

This Sunday, we continue our Life-Giving Practices series with “We Help Where We Can,” reflecting on Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25–37.

Following worship, Kevin Nye, author and advocate for the unhoused, will join us at 10:15 a.m. for a special conversation about the Christian call to end homelessness. We'll explore what our faith teaches us about caring for our neighbors and how we can respond with compassion and action. Refreshments will be served.

Jesus had a way of turning ordinary tables into extraordinary places of grace. He welcomed people others overlooked, crossed boundaries others defended, and reminded us that God's invitation is wider than we imagine.

This Sunday, we continue our Life-Giving Practices series with “We Open Our Tables and Our Lives” (Luke 14:7–24).

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, our congregation has given $119,110 to partners caring for Ukrainian brothers and sisters. Our support continues.

Recent financial gifts in September have supported ministry partners serving Ukrainians in the following ways:

âś… Medical and funeral assistance for a Ukrainian family.
✅ Meals for vulnerable residents: Supported a ministry providing meals twice weekly to 120–150 people, primarily elderly and disabled residents in a village devastated by war.
âś… Winter food assistance: Funded the purchase of three tons of potatoes for winter distribution to orphanages, children's homes, churches, and families in war-torn Ukraine.
âś… Emergency power supply: Purchased a large-capacity power station for a ministry partner's widow, providing essential electricity during frequent attacks and power outages.
âś… Church renovations: Helped a growing congregation renovate a larger rental space for worship and ministry.
