We’re launching our new sermon series, "Life-Giving Practices", exploring the shared rhythms that create space for life-giving relationships to grow with Christ and others. We’ll also receive our monthly Benevolence Offering, which helps meet needs for neighbors in our community.

“Faith in the Round” in August brought four Sundays of great teaching on why we are a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship congregation, why reading the Bible in its First-Century context is crucial, and why we should be concerned about and speak up against Christian Nationalism.

Thanks to Lead Pastor Melissa Hatfield, Dr. David May, Rev. Kristie McGonegal, and Rev. Dr. Brian Kaylor for leading these conversations.

One of our values at FBC JC is growing faithfully, and that happens best in community! It also requires humility so the Spirit can continue to form us in the teachings and ways of Christ - for the glory of God and the good of the world.

Sunday is a great day to gather for worship as August comes to an end, and we welcome September! This Sunday, as we conclude our God in the Transitions series, we’ll sit with one of the hardest truths of following Jesus: sometimes the way to new life leads straight through loss.

Can we love what was, grieve what is gone, and still follow Jesus toward the life that comes next?

🎒 Back to School Sunday is this Sunday!

As a new school year begins, we’ll take time in worship to bless our students, teachers, administrators, and school staff and remind them that wherever this year takes them, they do not go alone.

We’re also collecting school supplies for South School, our partner school since 2009. Bring your donations with you Sunday as we continue supporting the students and staff who mean so much to our church.

Lead Pastor Melissa Hatfield continues our "God in the Transitions" series with “When Questions Lead to Identity.” Jesus asks his disciples one of the most important questions they will ever answer: “Who do you say that I am?” It turns out the questions that shape us most deeply are not always the ones with an answer in the back of the book. Sometimes they help us discover who Jesus is, and who we are becoming because we follow him.

And adults are invited to our final "Faith in the Round" of the summer. Rev. Dr. Brian Kaylor will join us to talk about his latest book, "The Bible According to Christian Nationalists." Come for a thoughtful and timely conversation. Refreshments will be served.
