Jamestown Christian Church “Connecting people to Jesus and one another by being a praying church” We believe that He is coming again, perhaps soon.

OUR FAITH:
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, and that He rose from the dead on the third day. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it is an adequate guide in faith and doctrine. Therefore, we take it as our only rule of faith and practice. We believe it is our task to take the gospel to every person in the world as Jesus com

manded in Matthew 28:19,20. Therefore, we carry on a strong gospel preaching and teaching program in the local congregation. We also support home and foreign missions, using the direct support method. OUR AIM:
Not claiming to be the only Christians, rather “Christians Only”, we are devoted to the restoration of New Testament Christianity. It is not our mission to be another denomination, but rather to urge all religiously concerned people to return to the simple plan of God clearly presented in the New Testament. We believe this to be the solution to the problem we confront in our divided Christian world. We desire that ultimately the church, for which Jesus died, may supersede all movements of men, and that His people may be one even as Jesus prayed in John 17.

My name is Brynn Cochran, and I wanted to reach out as we prepare for this year’s Love Wins 5K, 1-Mile Walk/Run & Kids Fun Run at the sports complex behind Jamestown Christian Church.

Back in 2016, by the grace of God, I started a ministry called Broken Together with a desire to help bridge the gap between our communities, churches, and the amazing organizations across Indiana that are working to strengthen our foster care and adoption system and meet the lasting needs of some of our most vulnerable neighbors.

One of the ways I do this is through Love Wins. But Love Wins is about so much more than a run or walk. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, meet incredible organizations that are serving our most vulnerable, hear their stories, and learn how we can get involved.

And you don’t have to be a runner to participate! We’ll have pastries and coffee for those who simply want to come out, enjoy the morning, meet the organizations, and support the cause.

The morning begins with the 5K at 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 22nd, followed by the 1-mile walk/run and Kids Fun Run. After the races, we’ll have time for the participating organizations to share more about who they are, what they do, and how our community can help.

Organizations such as Indiana Right to Life, Isaiah 117 House, and many others represented at the event. Each organization will have an opportunity to share about the work they are doing in our communities and how people can get involved. It will be a morning of moving with purpose, connecting our community, and shining a light on the people and organizations doing incredible work right here in Indiana.

We’ll also hear from a family who is currently in the process of adoption as they share their story and what adoption has meant to their family. I believe those stories are so important because behind every statistic is a child, a family, and a story.
