Most people don’t regret what they gave.

They regret what they held back.

Their time.
Their gifts.
Their generosity.
Their faith.
Their love.

One day, the money won’t matter.
The titles won’t matter.
The stuff won’t matter.

What will matter is whether we poured out what God entrusted to us.

As missionary Jim Elliot famously said:

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”

Live in a way that your future self won’t regret and your Savior will say, “Well done.”

What an incredible first Sacred Sunday together!

It was such a joy to see children, students, parents, grandparents, and family members of all ages worshiping side by side this morning. There’s something special about gathering as one church family.

Thank you, Pastor Noah, for a powerful message from Matthew 26 and this important reminder: “What you treasure most is revealed by what you are willing to pour out.”

We’re so grateful for everyone who helped make today such a meaningful time of worship and connection across generations.

Our next Sacred Sunday will be on August 30. Sacred Sundays will be part of our rhythm throughout the year, creating opportunities for our entire church family to worship together.

“Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20

We’re not meant to do life alone. God designed us for community. And when we actually show up… together, in the same room, singing the same songs, carrying each other’s weight… something happens. We find strength we didn’t have walking in. We leave different than we arrived.

And this Sunday we’re taking it a step deeper.

May 31 is Sacred Sunday, an intentional day to slow down and come back to what matters most. Kids, teenagers, parents, grandparents, and church family all worshiping side by side. Generations together in one room.

After the service, you’ll take home a short devotional and activity to keep the day going… a meal, a conversation, a moment that actually sticks.

This Sunday we’re introducing “Sacred Sunday.”

An intentional day to slow down and refocus on what matters most.

This Sunday (May 31), we’ll gather for special family-style worship services at 9:30 and 11am with generations together... kids (kindergarten through high school), parents, grandparents, and church family all in the room worshiping side by side.

You’ll also receive a short devotional and activity to do as a family or small group after church. 

Please note: There will be no kids or student programming for kindergarten through high school during services this Sunday, May 31 at the CC Mandarin Campus. Nursery and preschool environments will still be available for children younger than kindergarten.

We’re encouraging you to simplify the day to create space for conversations, share a meal together, and create meaningful moments centered on Jesus.

Too often life pulls us in different directions. Sacred Sunday is an opportunity to come back together.

We believe faith can be strengthened when generations walk alongside one another, and we can’t wait to experience that with you.

Today we pause to remember.

Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom comes at a cost. We honor the brave men and women who laid down their lives in service, sacrifice, and love.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸
May we live with gratitude.
May we pray for peace.

“Be a door opener… not a door closer.”

Jesus wasn’t speaking to outsiders in Matthew 23.

He was speaking to people who knew the Bible, went to church, and looked the part.

This message asks a hard question:

Are we helping people find Jesus… or accidentally making it harder?

This past weekend we lifted up parents and families dedicating their children and homes to God. It’s been said that “it takes a village” but it’s far better when “it takes a church,” when we can come together as believers in Christ to support not only the next generation but also the parents raising them. May living in a way that honors God be the goal and may we all continue to pray for and encourage one another! 🙏
