What is true?

Your feed. The news. Your friends. Culture. Algorithms. A.I.

There are more voices than ever telling us what to believe, what matters, and how we should live.

So how do we know what’s actually true… and what’s worth holding onto?

This Sunday at Christ’s Church, we begin a brand-new series through one of the shortest books in the Bible: JUDE: Contending for the Faith.

Just 25 verses but an incredibly timely message for the world we’re living in.

Together, we’ll wrestle with what it means to know truth, recognize the competing voices fighting for our faithfulness, and hold firmly to the Word of God and the gospel of Jesus.

And we’ll discover that contending for the faith isn’t about winning arguments. It’s about remaining faithful to Jesus… grounded in truth, shaped by grace, committed to unity, and loving people well.

Join us this Sunday as we begin JUDE.

What if the same faith and community your family experiences at Christ’s Church could be part of your child’s school day, too?

Hi CC Family! I’m Krissy Pottenkulam, Admissions Director at CCA … but I’m also a CCA parent and a longtime part of the Christ’s Church family.

One of the things I’m most grateful for as a mom is knowing my daughters are truly known and loved at CCA. They’re surrounded by teachers who care about them, pray for them, challenge them academically, and intentionally point them toward Christ.

And I’d love for more families in our church to discover what CCA has to offer.

Staff Spotlight 💡 Meet Shai Long

Shai is part of our amazing student ministry team. She serves faithfully and is such a blessing to all who know her. We’re grateful to have her on the team. 🙌

We asked Shai a few questions to help you get to know her more…

Q: What drew you to Christ’s Church from where you were?

A: I was in a season where I felt like the Lord was leading me into something new, and He opened the doors to Christ’s Church. Noah and I met in college, and through our friendship, we were able to stay connected over the years. That relationship eventually led me to Christ’s Church, and the Lord has blessed me abundantly through it. Looking back, I can really see His hand in how He brought me here.

Q: What do you love most about your current role?

A: I love the relationships I’ve been able to build with students and getting to disciple them and walk alongside them. My background is in both events and worship, so getting to bring those things together in ministry has been really special. I love creating spaces where students can have fun, build community, worship, and ultimately grow in their relationship with Jesus. Getting to see students encounter Jesus in those moments is one of my favorite parts of what I get to do!

Q: Anything fun, interesting, or something people might not know about you?

A: I was born on Leap Day!

Q: Anything else you want to share?

A: When I look back over my life, the Lord has really shown me His hand and His goodness in so many ways. I feel so blessed to be a part of the Christ’s Church family and am really thankful for the way He brought me here!

It’s a safe evening of fun for kids and families!

We live in a world where everyone seems to have a different version of the truth.

So how do we know what’s actually true—and what’s worth holding onto?

After nearly two years journeying through the Gospel of Matthew, we’re beginning a brand-new series through one of the shortest books in the Bible: Jude.

Just 25 verses. But packed with truth for the world we’re living in right now.

Over five weeks, we’ll wrestle with what it means to know truth, recognize the competing voices fighting for our faithfulness, hold firmly to the Word of God, and live out the gospel of Jesus in a culture filled with information, opinions, and increasingly, AI.

This isn’t about winning arguments.

It’s about knowing what we believe, why we believe it, and what we need to hold onto.

Table Discussions are a great place to start. 

If you come to church regularly but aren’t part of a small group yet, Table Discussions give you an opportunity to study Scripture with others and experience what a disciple-making community can look like in a smaller group setting. 

It’s simple: pre-register, bring your Bible, and come with an open heart, ready to connect, grow and go deeper together.

To be young, yet rooted in Jesus…there’s something so special about that. ❤️ 

Recently, our Communications Team set up a Transformation Story station where students had the opportunity to share how God has transformed, and is continuing to transform their lives, and how they are helping make other disciples along the way. 

Meet friends Fallon and Azaria. 
Fallon is part of our CC Student Ministry and recently invited her friend Azaria, who is connected to another local church, to join her for an Invite Night. As they shared their stories, one thing was especially clear: their friendship is strengthened by a common faith in Jesus, and they are encouraging one another to live that faith out. 

In a world that isn’t always easy to navigate as a teenager, we love hearing young people talk about following Jesus, encouraging their friends and recognizing that they don’t have to wait until they’re older to live on mission. 
We’re also incredibly grateful for our Student Ministry team and small group leaders who are creating a community where students can belong, grow deeper in their faith and learn what it means to be disciples who make disciples. 

Disciples making disciples. That’s the mission, and there’s no age requirement. 

May we never take our faith in Jesus for granted. May we remain eager to grow, eager to invite and eager to be the kind of disciples who make disciples and live on mission with Jesus, at every age and every stage. 

Fallon and Azaria are showing us that we don’t have to wait. How can we follow their example and join Jesus on mission today?

This weekend, we closed the book on Matthew — but not the mission Jesus gave us.

After walking through the Gospel of Matthew together, Pastor Jason brought our series to a close this weekend with a question that matters for every one of us:

What does following Jesus actually look like in our everyday lives?

Jesus’ message to His disciples was clear. While we wait for His return, we have a purpose.

Be ready.
Seek first His Kingdom.
Use what He’s entrusted to you.
Serve people.
Love the least of these.
Make disciples.

Our faith isn’t meant to stay in our heads. It moves from our head, to our heart, to our hands.

And that’s part of what made this weekend so special.

Church is so much more than a service we attend. It’s a people we get to do life with.

We worship together. We pursue Jesus together. We encourage each other. We serve together.

And together, we bring the hope of Jesus into the lives of people around us.

That’s what it means to BE the Church.

As Pastor Jason reminded us, we have a purpose in the waiting: to point people to Jesus, love the least of these, and make disciples who make disciples.

So as we head into a new week—and close an incredible journey through Matthew… here’s the challenge:

Where can you make Jesus visible through the way you live and love this week?

IF JESUS RETURNED TODAY, WHAT WOULD HE FIND YOU DOING?

Most of us are busy.

Work. Family. Responsibilities. Plans. Problems to solve. Things to accomplish.

But there’s a much bigger question:

Are we busy with what Jesus actually asked us to do?

This Sunday, we come to the end of our journey through the Gospel of Matthew.

And in Jesus’ final words to His disciples, He leaves us with remarkable clarity about what He expects us to be doing with the life He’s given us.

Not someday.
Right now.

Join us this Sunday for the final message in our Matthew series as we ask a question with eternal implications:

What does Jesus expect me to be doing with my life?

WHAT IF ONE OF THE WAYS GOD WANTS TO USE YOU IS THROUGH PRAYER? 🙏

We’re looking for people to join our Prayer Team at Christ’s Church.

And before you think, “I’m not spiritual enough for that…” — you don’t need to be a prayer expert. You simply need a heart for people, a willingness to listen, and a desire to grow.

We’ll equip you to listen well, pray faithfully, respond with care, and connect people with additional support when needed.

You’re not responsible for having all the answers or solving anyone’s problems. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply show up, listen, and pray.

And as you pray for others, something happens in you, too. Your own prayer life grows. Your faith deepens. And you become part of a team of people who genuinely care for one another and our church.

Whether you’ve been praying for years or you’re just beginning to grow in prayer, there’s a place for you on the Prayer Team.
