☕️📚 Three Meetings. Two Days. One Great Book Club!

After taking June and July off, our church book club was happy to be back together in August—and we had a great time discussing Theo of Golden by Allen Levi!

We gathered for three meetings over two days, and we had some pretty creative inspiration for our meeting locations.

☕️ Coffee shop: A perfect connection to the part of the book where Theo sees the pencil portraits, buys them, and gives them to the individuals in the drawings.

🇧🇷 Brazilian restaurant: A nod to the Portuguese dinner Theo prepared for Tony for his birthday. And yes, we thought it was only appropriate to discuss the book over some delicious food!

As for our ratings? The book was definitely a hit! Most readers gave it 4 or 5 stars, with a few 3-star ratings sprinkled in. (Although we're pretty sure a couple of those ratings might have gone up if the readers had actually finished the book! 😂)

It was wonderful to be back together, sharing thoughts, opinions, and plenty of conversation about the book.
