Good Morning Everyone,

Tomorrow morning from 9:30 to 10:00, our, “Riverstone Prayer Team,” will host, “Prayers & Pastries,” in our dining room. You are invited! We want you to come hear from them what our Lord is doing in this most vital ministry of our church. Pastor Rick will speak for a few minutes and you will want to hear the, “Man of God!” Get it done today and join us tomorrow morning!

Speaking of our Pastor, Lord willing, tomorrow morning, Pastor Rick will bring a message entitled, “Blow Wind Blow,” from Ephesians 5. You don’t want to miss this word from, “The Word!” You do not! Invite someone to come along with you. It may not be anymore difficult than simply saying to someone you love and care for, “hey, I want you to come with me tomorrow morning to church.” We always say it, as it’s always true, if we will invite many, many will come! They will!

A FEW THINGS, QUICKLY!

ONE, “Operation Christmas Shoe-Box,” is under way and closing out, quickly! If you have not picked up a shoe-box, “PLEASE,” do so tomorrow morning. Connie Atkins will look for you in our lobby before or after our Worship Service. The boxes must be turned in by Sunday, November 15. We are on the clock, so please pick one up tomorrow!

TWO, our, “Couple’s Ministry,” have a very exciting event coming up on Sunday, November 7. Here is a word about it from our fearless leaders, Brian and Lori Hess!
Football, Fellowship, & Food Couples Event is Saturday November 7th at the church 3:00-6:00pm. Everyone will come in their favorite college team attire and we will have football games on the screen and will enjoy food and cheering your favorite team on. See Lori Hess tomorrow morning to sign up.

THREE, John and Vickie Woods do a, “WONDERFUL,” job of leading our, “Food Pantry Ministry. As we approach Thanksgiving and Christmas, there are quite a few things that they need for the pantry. Below is the list of items that would be most helpful to those in need. If you’d like to help, please just bring the items to the shopping cart that you’ll find in our lobby, before or after any Worship Service.

Good Morning Everyone,

Pastor Rick and I have always loved the comedian/actor, Billy Crystal. I imagine many of you do as well. He has played so many roles. Most of them hilarious, many of them serious. Last week I read a quote of his that I just couldn’t believe. I decided that I wouldn’t believe it, until I heard him, and saw him, say it. So, I set out to find it. Unfortunately, I found it. Mr. Crystal said, “I no longer trust God.” Now that’s heartbreaking. Certainly, he has seen difficult days. Among other things, he lost his home in the fires of Pacific Palisades, California, and even more horrific, his best friends, Rob Reiner, and his wife, Michelle, were brutally murdered by their own son, Nick. All of the above, totally unconscionable.

I pray that somewhere in Billy Crystal’s circle of friends, there is a Christian that will love him, and share with him, that our God can be trusted, believed, and counted on! I have no way of knowing if he knows him or not, but yesterday, I wrote a simple message to Pastor Greg Laurie, Harvest Church, and told him that I am praying that he will have an open door from our Lord to share God’s love, with Billy Crystal and to simply let him know that he can trust our God! He can! I want that for Billy Crystal and I imagine you do as well.

“THE MAIN EVENT!” Fresh off of, “Real Church,” last Sunday (what a message), Pastor Rick comes right back tomorrow morning with a message entitled, “Standing Firm In The Holy Spirit,” from Galatians 5:1-26. You absolutely do not want to miss this message, so, get it all done today, and invite someone to come along with you to, “The Stone!”

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a, “RIVERSTONE BREAKING NEWS ALERT!” Okay, Okay, I borrowed that banner headline from, “Fox News,” but I don’t think ninety-five-year-old, Rupert Murdoch will mind a bit! Back to the, “ALERT!” We have retooled, “Middle School Student Ministry,” and they crank it up, this coming Sunday morning, 9:30 am, upstairs, with Sharon Magnum. She and her husband, Aaron, have been working, “DOUBLE TIME,” in order to get ready for this ministry to 6th through 8th graders. The curriculum is some of the best that I’ve read. It’s entitled, “What Is Theology,”—The Study Of God. “YES,” that seems like a great place to start! The Magnum’s have even retooled the, “Middle School Room.” Take a look at this short clip of before and after;

Good Morning Everyone,

It happened this past Wednesday night at about 9:40 pm. I was there, at, “Where Shopping Is A Pleasure!” They were putting out for the first time this Thanksgiving and Christmas Season, “EGG NOG!” That’s right, “T.G. Lee Eggnog!” That let me know beyond a shadow of a doubt, the Holidays are upon us! So, get ready for them! Don’t let the days pass you by without thanking our God for His unbelievable goodness, and the unsearchable riches He bestows upon each and every one of us, “DAILY!”

If I may, please allow me to reiterate a few upcoming events and functions at, “THE STONE,” that I mentioned last week.


*Monday, September 28-October 31, “Help The City Rescue Mission Collect Hats-Scarves-Gloves For Those In Need In Our Community.” One thing to remember in regard to, “The City Rescue Mission Outreach,” they are only in need of adult items. They have more than enough for children and teenagers.
