Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone,

I’ve thought a lot about it this past week. If there are two holidays that we celebrate that are both somber and joyful, I believe they would be both Easter and Memorial Day? Obviously, the somberness of Easter is, “Good Friday.” That marks the day that our Lord Jesus Christ suffered and gave His life on Calvary’s Cross, that we might know Him, and be forgiven by Him, and inherit eternal life through Him, and abundant life from Him, even now! His pain and agony, and suffering and torment, are only, “Good,” because they ushered in, only three days later, the, “GLORIOUS,” resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is alive, He ever lives to make intercession for you and me, and He is coming back, “SOON,” to receive us unto Himself, and as I John 3:2 promises us, “Beloved (that’s us), now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is!” My Brothers And Sisters, that is, “JOYFUL!” Praise Be To Our Lord!

Much like Easter, to me, “Memorial Day,” is both somber and joyful. It’s “somber,” in that, it’s a day that we remember, as we should every day, the precious and priceless men and women of our Armed Forces, that gave their lives and paid the ultimate sacrifice, in order to protect our Nation and support the liberties and freedom that we enjoy as citizens of this great, United States Of America! On, “Memorial Day,” we can thank our Lord Jesus for these men and women. On, “Memorial Day,” we can remember them, and their legacy, and all that they did for us! We can love up on the families they left behind, and encourage them, and support them, and simply, “THANK THEM,” for their loved one that fell, so that we could, “STAND,” in freedom! My Brothers And Sisters, that is, “JOYFUL!” Celebrate Those Heroes! Praise Be To Our Lord!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone!

Here We Go! I know that we gave you a lot of numbers last week. So with a little, “tweaking,” here are a few more numbers that we want you to be aware of. Don’t skip any of them because buried in there around, “NUMBER, FOUR,” is a, “GREAT,” praise!

NUMBER ONE, “The Main Event, Tomorrow, Sunday, May 24!”

NUMBER TWO, “Game Night, Thursday, June 4!” You’ll find a flyer on your seat tomorrow that gives you all of the details. I also want to mention that child care will be provided, So, “BRING EM!” ONE DETAIL YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS, TOMORROW MORNING IS YOUR LAST OPPORTUNITY TO SIGN UP FOR GAME NIGHT. If you haven’t already done so, please see Pat Littleton in our lobby before or after tomorrow’s service and she’ll get you ready to roll for, “Game Night, Thursday, June 4!”

NUMBER THREE, “Baby Dedication, Sunday, June 7!” If you have a child that you would like to dedicate to our Lord, please sign them with Tina Runkles or Aleshia Rigdon.

NUMBER FOUR, “Baby Bottle Campaign!” This is a wonderful opportunity to support First Coast Women’s Services as they minister to expectant moms and families. Our goal this year is $10,000. There is no reason why we can’t meet that goal. I only tell you this, so that you can pray, “THANK YOU JESUS,” one of our fine young, “Stonian,” men last week said, “I want to be a part of this outreach, and the Lord led me to do what I was suppose to do.” Tomorrow, there will be a check for $3,000 in one of those priceless baby bottles! You can say it with me now, “THANK YOU JESUS!” Please pick up a baby bottle from Mandy Strayer before or after any worship service and simply pray as that young man prayed, “Lord, what would you have me do?”

NUMBER FIVE, “Vacation Bible School!” Road Trip VBS is on the docket, June 22-26, 5:30-8:30, and Friday is, “Parent Night,” 6-7:30. If you would like to volunteer or sign up your child, don’t wait until the last minute. Please see Kasey Boatright before or after any worship service and she’ll get you ready to roll for, “Vacation Bible School.”

NUMBER SIX, “Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital Father’s Day Outreach!” We did an outstanding job reaching out and ministering to moms of patients on Mother’s Day! Levi Rigdon, Ellie Mobley, and the College & Career were able to deliver 101 gift bags to Wolfson’s because of you! We’ll get a chance to do it one more time for Father’s Day. You’ll find a flyer on your seat next Sunday regarding our outreach to dads at Wolfson’s.

Tomorrow, 10:30 AM!

We’ll Be Looking For You,

Marshall

Good Morning Everyone,

You may know that numbers are very important in, “The Word!” They often carry deep spiritual and symbolic meaning rather than just literal value. The most significant numbers represent divine perfection, the nature of God, human imperfection, and periods of testing. Last week I came across an article by, “Faith Writers,” that included some wonderful, “Emergency Contact Numbers!” I want you to have them as well! Put 'em in your speed dial and contact list!

When In Sorrow……Call John 14

When You Have Sinned…..Call John 14

When You Worry…..Call Matthew 6:24-34

When In Danger…..Call Psalm 91

When In Need Of Faith…..Call Hebrews 11

When You Are Down…..Call Romans 8:31

When You Need Peace…..Call Mathew 11:28

When You Are Lonely…..Call Psalm 23

When You Are Bitter…..Call I Corinthians 13

When People Are Unkind…..Call John 15:12

The number 12 represents divine government, the church, the 12 Tribes of Israel, and the 12 Apostles. The number 40 represents periods of testing, trials and preparation. There were 40 days and nights of rain for Noah and his family secure in the Ark. Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years. Our Lord Jesus fasted for 40 days in the desert. The number 6 represents human imperfection and weakness. Adam was created on the 6th day, and the number 6 falls one short of the divine number, 7! Numbers are very important in, “The Word!”

These numbers are very important as well! You are thinking, “okay, now I get it, I was wondering where you were going with this number diatribe!”

NUMBER ONE, “The Main Event, Tomorrow, Sunday, May 17!” Didn’t you love the series within a series last week on, “David?” Let me answer that question for each of us, “ABSOLUTELY!” Pastor Rick continues that series within a series tomorrow with a message entitled, “Play That Funky Music……” from I Samuel 16:14-23. The man sang, “That’s Alright Momma,” last week. Will he give us an encore tomorrow of that, “Wild Cherry,” funky classic? You must be, “in the house,” to find out!

NUMBER TWO, “Senior Recognition, Sunday, May 31!” If you are a Senior that has made it to the end (OH MY) please see Chris or Kelly Roop and they’ll get you ready to be recognized as one of, “The Stones Graduating Seniors!”

NUMBER THREE, “Game Night, Thursday, June 4!” You’ll find a flyer on your seat tomorrow that gives you all of the details. Please see Pat Littleton in our lobby before or after any worship service.

NUMBER FOUR, “Baby Dedication, Sunday, June 7!” If you have a child that you would like to dedicate to our Lord, please sign them with Tina Runkles or Aleshia Rigdon.

NUMBER SEVEN, “Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital Father’s Day Outreach!” We did an outstanding job reaching out and ministering to moms of patients on Mother’s Day!

NUMBER EIGHT, “Stonian Men,” come have dinner Monday night, 6:00 pm, Jammes Road Bono’s with Pastor Rick and Terry Kelly! They’ll be looking for you!

NUMBER NINE, “Small Groups Meet Tomorrow, 9:30 AM!”

NUMBER TEN, “Shewwwww, that’s a lot of numbers!”

Tomorrow, 10:30 AM!

We’ll Be Looking For You,

Welcome to Sunday Morning Worship at Riverstone Community Church!

05/09/2026

Good Morning Everyone,

When I was in my early twenty’s, two or three years ago, I read a quote that I absolutely love. It has stayed with me all of these, well…, two or three years? It came from our Sixteenth President, Abraham Lincoln. Honest Abe wrote, “No Man Is Poor, That Has A Mother.” Don’t you love that too? Think about all that our moms have given us, taught us, sacrificed for us. How they have unconditionally loved us and cared for us. I believe you will come to no other conclusion than that of President Lincoln, “No Man Is Poor, That Has A Mother.”

If your mom is still with you, let her know that you love her. Tell her that she has made you immeasurably rich by simply being your mom! Buy her some flowers, send her a card, give her a call, invite her to come along with you tomorrow to, “The Stone!” Mom’s, “Happy Mother’s Day!”

“THE MAIN EVENT!” This is a, “Riverstone Breaking News Alert!” Tomorrow morning, Pastor Rick will begin a new series, within our series of I Samuel, on, “The Life Of David.” I suppose no other Bible principal had as varied a life as David? He experienced the highest of highs, as well as the lowest of lows. I imagine everyone can identify with some, or possibly, many, aspects of David’s storied life! You will not want to miss the very beginning of this exciting series! The message tomorrow, “The Life Of David; God Sees You,” from I Samuel 16. Pray for the Pastor as he brings it, pray for the precious souls to hear it! “No Man Is Poor, That Has A Mother!”

We’ll Be Looking For You On Mother’s Day,

Marshall

Good Morning Everyone,

It’s already, “MAY,” can you believe it? Summer will already be here and gone before you can even say, “wait, where did it go?” Christmas is only 237 days away and I imagine The Cracker Barrel has already started clearing the runway for Christmas trees and toys? Oh My! My point (yes, what is your point), don’t let these days of incredible, “BIBLE STUDY,” pass you by! Time is a v***r, it’s fleeting. (James 4:14) We are instructed to redeem the time for the time is at hand. (Ephesians 5:16) There is no better way to be the personification of these scriptural instructions, than to be, “IN THE HOUSE,” tomorrow morning for said, “BIBLE STUDY!”

“THE MAIN EVENT!” Tomorrow Morning, Pastor Rick Picks Back Up Our Study Of I Samuel, With A Message Entitled, “Trust And Obey,” From I Samuel 15. If You Are Old Enough To Remember What A Hymn Book Is, You May Remember, The Hymn, “Trust And Obey?” I Love That Chorus, “Trust And Obey, For There’s No Other Way, To Be Happy In Jesus, But To Trust And Obey!” It’s Absolutely True! Let’s, “Trust And Obey,” Tomorrow Morning, 10:30 AM!

A Couple Of Things Quickly!

ONE, Ellie Mobley And Our College And Career Are Leading A, “Mother’s Day Outreach,” For The Mother’s Of Patients Of Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital. This Hospital Has Not Only Been A Godsend To Our Community, But They Have Been A Godsend To Many In Our Own Riverstone Family. They Have Been! I Can’t Tell You The Number Of Children I’ve Seen Over The Years At Wolfson’s. Their Love, And Care, And Attention For Those Patients Is Nothing Short Of Amazing! Prayerfully, Consider Being A Part Of This Outreach. Below Is A List Of The Items They Need.
