Loving the Local Church: Committed in the Age of Me
Tuesday, March 24 • 6-8 p.m.
Speaker: Rupert Hunt Taylor

How does the Bible’s vision for the local church fit with our increasingly individualistic age? When our key question is, “how does it meet the needs of me and my family?” we can quickly start to think of church as burdensome. However, in the midst of an age that teaches us to be suspicious of obligation, the Bible’s pictures of church reveal something refreshing and counter-cultural: commitment is beautiful.

Join us as we hear from Rupert Hunt Taylor, Minister of Discipleship, on this timely topic, Tuesday, March 24, 6-8 p.m. in Miller Hall. Please register online at fpcj.ms/events to help us plan for the dinner. The cost is $10 and will be taken at the door. A nursery is available by request at Registration.

MOMS & MOMS at Night Bible Studies

Registration is now open at the link in our bio for new participants in our MOMS Bible Studies. If you registered in the fall, there is no need to register again.

Join us this spring for MOMS and MOMS at Night, Bible studies for expectant moms, those who hope to become moms, and moms whose youngest child is in sixth grade or below.
We offer two ways to participate:
•MOMS meets every Wednesday at 9 a.m., beginning January 28, in Miller Hall.
•MOMS at Night meets two Tuesday evenings each month from 6–8 p.m., beginning January 20, in Miller Hall.

MOMS at Night will be continuing our Revelation study, and MOMS will explore The Duties and Delights of Christian Parenting, reflecting on the calling, challenges, and joys of raising children faithfully.

Whether you gather in the morning or the evening, you’ll find a welcoming community of moms learning from Scripture and walking this season of life together. Registration opens January 1. Childcare is available but space is limited. A nursery is provided for children ages three and under, and a homeschool room with childcare is available for children ages twelve and under.
