Meet the NEW Staff Monday!

Today we meet our third and final new member to the Morning Star school staff: Mrs. Karlie Harms! Mrs. Harms has been hired this year as a substitute teacher in the middle school grades, as well as an occasional Teacher's Aide.

Mrs. Harms earned her teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She then taught for ten years at the middle school level in the Sheboygan Falls school district, after which she took some time off to stay home with her sons. She is very much looking forward to getting back into the classroom!

When she has free time, Mrs. Harms loves all sports, being outside, and playing with her three boys. She is married to our own Mr. Cody Harms, the 6th grade homeroom and departmentalized science teacher here at Morning Star. Mrs. Harms says she is super excited to have their entire family under one school-roof this year!

Please welcome Karlie and keep her in your prayers during this year of change for her and her family!

Our Women's Ministry is ramping up and we're so excited to tell you about it! All confirmed women of the congregation are invite and encouraged to join us for our Kickoff Event on Sunday, September 13th at Noon. We had a great turnout for the listening sessions a few weeks ago and have prayerfully considered the feedback. We'd love to share with you how we are re-structuring and also what you can expect to see in the coming months!

Please plan to come to learn more about how this revived ministry can be a blessing to you and others in our church and community. Light refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!

We have an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by lending a help hand to those impacted by recent storms!

Members of Morning Star are gathering Kwik Trip gift cards to give to residents in the Fox Valley area where major tornadoes hit earlier this year. The gift cards can be used for food, gas, and ice. Many people are still using generators. Any cash given will be used to buy gift cards. Donations can be put in the basket on the church counter, given to the secretaries, or put into the lockbox by the coat rack.

If you're looking for a low stress, easy way to help out at church, we have just the job for you!

We are seeking a few new Video Operators to advance slides on the church video boards. Serving frequency is flexible! Operators are asked to arrive about 15 minutes before the service, start up the system, run the slideshow during the service, and shut down the system after the service. Training is basic and only takes about 15 minutes. The volunteer position is open to anyone in the church, high-school aged or older.

New Bible Studies begin this week at Morning Star!

Along with the end of summer comes the start of something wonderful! Tomorrow (Wed, 09/02) our LAMBS (Ladies At Morning Bible Study) will begin their new season at 9am. This ladies Bible study group will be studying the book "Encouraging One Another". Our RAMBS (Redeemed At Men's Bible Study) group will also be meeting at 9am tomorrow morning to begin their study season together. Both of these groups meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. We'd love to welcome you there!
