Being a Christian is not meant to be a private practice to be done in isolation. To have an authentic Christian faith means having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is lived out with a community of like-minded believers. That’s why we here at Ithaca Living Hope Church encourage you to gather, grow, and go along with us.
The best way is to do this in person. However, if this is not
possible for you, we'd love for you to hop online and watch live (or at a later time) through Facebook or YouTube. Our Sunday morning worship services are meant to be casual, engaging, and inspirational while also challenging you to make choices that will personally move your life closer to being the person that God is calling you to be through the message of the Bible. We challenge you to connect and grow with other Christians in a small group at least every two weeks. We have several small groups of 4-12 people who meet at various days, times, and places each week for the purpose of spiritual growth and encouragement. It is the place where you can safely share your struggles, get personal prayer support, develop friends who will have your back, ask each other questions about your faith, and mutually support one another through the journey of everyday life. Get connected in a group where you can grow with others as you get to know other Christ followers personally and be personally know by them. We believe that we will make a difference in the world and fulfill the purpose Christ has given for our lives as, together, we connect with our community through serving them in a ministry on a monthly basis. Some of our church’s ministry opportunities are organized for the entire congregation to be involved. At other times, your small group may choose a ministry project at which to go serve together. And often, many of us feel prompted by the Holy Spirit to venture out on our own to do acts of kindness. Whichever way it happens, we believe that you will find deep fulfillment in giving yourself to others as you share the love of Christ with them through words or in practical and personal ways. You will be blessed if you get out of your comfort zone and go out to serve others in the name of Jesus.
