FALL KICKOFF, PICNIC
IFPC will kick off the start of a new season with the annual church picnic: Sunday, September 13, a 2 p.m. at Atkinson Park, 1011 E. North St. in Ithaca. Mark your calendar!

The disciples were not sure they had signed up for a messiah that could be killed. Death was not what they expected. Was it the end? We know that end was not the end. Everyday is Easter now. Will you choose the power of love? Will you sign on? Do you realize you are seeing the Son of Man coming before you have even tasted death?

• Session meets Tuesday.
• Community Food Pantry is Wednesday 9:30 to 11 a.m.
• Worship and coffee hour Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

BASEMENT PURGE & DUMPSTER DAY
Session is asking for feedback to see who is interested in cost sharing a dumpster as part of a major fall cleaning project. The idea – and it's just an idea – is to rent a dumpster and make space available to others who don't need a whole dumpster. If interested, contact Art Faustmann or Cecille Bowen. Their contact information is in the directory. Or, contact the church office.
