Lincoln Trail Christian Church

Lincoln Trail Christian Church David Buckham - Minister At Lincoln Trail, we believe that God is doing amazing things--in Breckinridge County, in the world, and in our lives.

Lincoln Trail Christian Church is a community of men, women, and children, dedicated to living out the good news of Jesus Christ's love for us, through worship, prayer, and service to one another and to the community outside our walls. We understand that going to church can be intimidating. But don't worry--the community of faith at Lincoln Trail is made up of people just like you. We're not super

humans. We're not spiritual giants, either. We have struggles, concerns, and hopes about what our lives should be, and we're prayerfully growing together, by the grace of God. Our Sunday morning begins with Sunday School at 10 am, followed by an informal worship service at 11 am. All times are eastern (fast time). Please don't go shopping for a new suit or dress before you attend. Just come as you are, and please bring your kids. We've got programs for them, too--from children's sermons and Bible activity packets to drama workshops and kid's church, plus lots of new friends for them to meet. We also have midweek activities to help you grow: Bible studies, prayer meetings, basketball, and more. There are plenty of ways to be involved here at Lincoln Trail, but you'll never know what you're missing until you stop by and see for yourself.

Today finishes the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew's Gospel. Jesus warns his listeners to heed his words. Wisdom seems to be lacking in so many areas of life. Listening to Jesus gives us some much needed wisdom. Glad to have you with us today. Please share a praise, prayer request, or comment below!

There are lots of pretenders in the faith. Jesus warns that our faith is much more than a proclaimation or even deeds. Our faith is a relationship with him that is shown through obedience. Glad to have you with us today. Please share a praise, prayer request, or comment below!

Jesus gives warning to his audience stating to be ware of the wolves in sheeps clothing. He goes on to share that we can watch for the fruit they produce. We all produce fruit, what kind of fruit we produce depends on where we are connected. Glad to have you with us today. Please share a praise, prayer request, or comment below!

This is the second discourse on prayer in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus goes on to give what many see as the most important teaching of his ministry. In short, we have a lot of ground to cover in these few short verses. Glad to have you with us today. Please share a praise, prayer request, or comment below!

Have you ever been accused of being judgy? I think we all have. Usually someone will hide behind the first few words of today's text and say, "you can't judge me, the Bible says 'judge not.'" Judgment is a double edged sword, and while it has a place, Jesus urges caution in our judgments. Glad to have you with us today. Please share a praise, prayer request, or comment below!

Be blessed!

Lincoln Trail is hosting another Red Cross Blood Drive in a few weeks. We'd love for you to come and donate a pint (or two if you do a Power Red).

I do this as often as I am able. I know some ask where the blood goes, and I can tell you that the Red Cross Blood Donation App tracks your donation. Sometimes my blood (O+) goes to other states, and sometimes it stays local. Consider giving a few minutes of your day on April 17 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT (Fast Time/City Time).

They do ask that you book your appointment online as walk-ins end up limited. Also, all donors get a $15 egift card to the merchant of your choice.

(There are 11 spots left when I last checked.)
