I am the pastor. My name is Tim Lucas. We use the New International Version in preaching, mainly. We don't insist on any particular translation, but we would expect people to have a good, solid translation (not a paraphrase). We want everyone to be aware that Sunday school is at 9:30 EST, and morning worship is 10:30. Irvington goes by Fast Time (which is EST). A lot of folks don't realize this, since Breckinridge County is CST. But Irvington is EST (except for the schools). We observe the same time as Louisville. Hope to see you today.

Irvington folks, it was brought to my attention that the radio station broadcast the wrong date for the Celebration of Life for Mrs. Joy Hayse. If there is any confusion, the visitation and service are both Monday, July 27th. Visitation will be from 10 - 2 Fast Time, and the service will be at 2 PM. Please join us in paying our respects to a wonderful lady.

Irvington folks all over the community: The likelihood of severe weather around the time people would be getting here for Vacation Bible School is forcing us to cancel VBS for tonight. We will see everyone tomorrow night. It's getting cloudier by the minute, and looks to be pretty stormy about the time people will be getting here to prepare. Safety is our # 1 priority. If you see this message, help spread the word. Let people know. We will be open as a storm shelter if needed, and needing to have the building available for that is another reason we need to cancel today.

Irvington folks, don't forget that we are hosting Community Vacation Bible School from July 20-24, from 6PM to 8 PM (Fast Time). We'd love to have your kids and grandkids and nieces and nephews and neighbors join us. We will have classes for all ages - from preschool - so come out and join us for a great week.

Our theme is Emerald Isle. We will be celebrating an Irish theme. Sounds like a winner to me!

We are watching the weather tonight. Hopefully we won't get bad weather, but if we do, the timing could be kind of bad; in the overnight hours. As always, we will open up as a shelter in the event of tornado warnings. We want to help keep our community safe.

We are preparing to host our Community Vacation Bible School, from July 20 to July 24, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Fast Time). We will soon be getting out information on pre registering.
