Howard Bomgaars returned home to Bavarian Meadows after receiving care in the hospital following a fall.

Continue to pray for those of our congregation that are not able to worship with us Megan Miedema, Howard Bomgaars, Don Mulder, Bertha Statema, and Marcia Vander Stoep.

April 3, 7:00 PM Good Friday with Celebration of the Lord’s Supper
April 5, 7:30 AM Easter Sunrise Service followed by breakfast together
April 5, 9:30 AM Easter Sunday Service – no Sunday School/Catechism or evening worship.

NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 12 IS CADET SUNDAY
The boys from our Cadet program will help lead our worship service and share the ministry the Cadets have, raising up young men in the faith.

Unity Christian High School

ALL GRANDPARENTS OF FRESHMEN STUDENTS AT UNITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL
are invited to attend Freshmen Grandparent Day on Thursday, April 16 at the school. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and will finish at lunch with your grandchild. Please call 737-4114 or email [email protected] to make a lunch reservation.

UNITY CHRISTIAN 8TH GRADE DAY
will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. All interested 8th grade students are invited to visit Unity from 11:15am until 2:40pm. Students will experience a tour of the school, participate in a chapel, and learn about courses and co-curricular programs. An evening event designed for the parents of incoming freshmen will be held that same evening, April 14th from 7:00 - 8:30pm. This evening meeting is a critical parent orientation meeting to learn about course selection, athletics, transportation, and enrollment. Call the school with any questions at 712-737-4114.

IRETON VBS FUNDRAISER SUPPER AND BAKE SALE
is coming up on Wednesday, April 22 at the Ireton Community Center. We will be serving pork burgers, sides, and ice cream from 5 pm to 7 pm. A free will donation will be taken and take out containers will be available. Our annual VBS Bake Sale will also be held that night.

IRETON VBS BAKE SALE ITEMS ARE REQUESTED FROM THE CONGREGATION.
You can bring baked goods to be sold to the Ireton Community Center on April 22 beginning at 8:00 am. Thank you for supporting our VBS program!

NAMI (NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS)
will meet on Tuesday, April 7 at the Sioux Center Public Library. An Educational Program from 7 to 7:45 pm is open to anyone who is interested in the subject. Creative Living Center Counselor Dr. Shawn Scholten and Brooks McFarland will discuss Compassionate Self-Care and Caregiver Care. From 7:45 to 8:45, individuals affected by mental health conditions, and their family/friends will meet separately for a time of mutual support. MINNIKOTA YOUTH ANNUAL JR HIGH RETREAT
Minnikota Youth invite you to the 16th Annual Jr High Retreat on April 17-19 at Inspiration Hills. Contact Lee De Groot for more information at [email protected] or 712-470-4244. Join other local junior high students (6th—8th Grade) at this retreat designed especially for youth! Worship, speakers, games, service, and small groups will be on the agenda for the weekend. Registration, fee, and forms are due by April 1. The total cost of the retreat will be $185.

This Sunday we celebrate the promises of God made to believers and their families sealed to us in the sacrament of baptism. During the morning worship service Alex and Kennedy Foley and Ross and Allision Tentinger will present their children, Walden David Foley and Savannah Faith Tentinger, to be baptized.

40TH ANNUAL GOOD FRIDAY PASSION PLAY
On Friday, April 3, The Osceola County Ministerial Association is performing the Good Friday Passion Play. The production begins with the triumphal entry of Jesus and the apostles into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and culminates with the cross at Calvary. Share the experience an witness this pivotal historical point as you prepare to celebrate the resurrection on Easter morning. Three performances will be at 5:00, 7:00, and 9:00 PM at the Sibley-Ocheyedan High School Auditorium in Sibley IA. Free tickets are available and may be reserved by calling 712-754-2945 or by emailing [email protected]. Church groups and organizations may request enough tickets for their entire group.

Verla Van Sloten will have surgery to repair a macular hole in her left eye, March 20, at the Mayo Clinic. She expects to be able to return home the following day.

Bertha Statema continues her recovery at Dave Statema’s house.

will be held Wednesday, March 25 at Ireton Christian School. Pulled pork meal will be served from 6:00 - 7:00 PM with the race beginning at 7:00 PM. Weigh in is from 6:00 - 6:30.

LADIES AFTERNOON BIBLE STUDY
will meet on Tuesday March 24 at 1:00 PM studying James 5:1-6.

We plan to do a few family table visits again this spring. An elder will contact you to schedule a time to meet with your family. Those on the list will find a devotional in their church mailbox.

While the story might be very familiar, the musical version is not. We hope you will join us for the lovely retelling of the story of the March family set in the 1860s. Not only is the story relevant for today, it is set to beautiful music. The show dates are March 26 and 27 at 7:00pm and a matinee Saturday, March 28 at 2:00pm in the Knight Center. We hope you can join us!

Our Church Family

Bertha Statema continues to receive care at Avera in Sioux Falls after surgery to repair a broken ankle.

Karen Towers looks to resume chemotherapy treatments after a 2 week delay while away and dealing with Covid. She also is newly dealing with numbness and tingling in her hand due to nerve compression.

ON SUNDAY, MARCH 15 WE WILL WELCOME REV. KEN LEE,
our missionary from Japan to church. He is spending time reconnecting with the congregations who support him. We look forward to hearing more about the work of the Christian Reformed Church’s efforts to spread the gospel in Japan.

IRETON BOOSTER CLUB COMMUNITY BANQUET
will be held Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the Ireton Community Center. Reserved tickets for the catered meal will be $18.00. No tickets sold at the door. Last day to reserve tickets is Tuesday, March 17. The citizen of the year will also be announced that night. This year’s entertainment we will be playing Mingo for prizes. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy a night of entertainment and good fellowship! Please call the Ireton City Office at 278-2112, by March 17 to reserve your meal tickets.
