Today, on the National Day of Prayer, we join together in faith, trusting that God hears every prayer lifted from humble hearts.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6–7

In a world filled with uncertainty, Christ calls us not to fear, but to pray. Today we give thanks for God’s mercy, and we pray for our nation, our communities, our leaders, our families, and all those in need. May the peace of Christ guard our hearts and minds as we rest in His promises.

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of prayer and for the peace that comes through Your Son, Jesus Christ. In every trial and uncertainty, teach us to bring our cares before You with thankful hearts. Bless our nation and guide our leaders with wisdom and justice. Strengthen Your Church to proclaim the Gospel faithfully and serve our neighbors in love. Comfort the hurting, provide for those in need, and grant us Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Because of the snowstorm forecasted for tonight and tomorrow, we are canceling all services and activities at Emanuel for Sunday.
