A Portion of the Gospel Lesson: Matthew 15:10-28
"Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." (Matthew 15:28a)
Reflection:
The Gospel is full of surprising moments.
In this story, a woman whom others might have overlooked becomes an example of extraordinary faith. She refuses to believe that God's mercy has limits, and Jesus affirms her trust.
Throughout Scripture, we see God continually widening the circle of welcome.
Again and again, Jesus reminds us that no one is beyond God's love. Every person bears the image of God and deserves dignity, compassion, and belonging.
That remains our calling today.
As followers of Christ, we are invited to build communities where people are seen, heard, valued, and embraced—not because they've earned it, but because God's grace is freely given to all.
As we gather for worship this Sunday, we'll celebrate the boundless love of God and consider how we can reflect that love in our homes, our church, and our community.
Join us for worship at Faith United Church on Sunday at 11:15 a.m.
