TAB Recreation

TAB Recreation Located at 34th & Central in Downtown Indianapolis, Tab Rec, Founded in 1924, is one of the oldest recreation programs in the nation.

Teaching hundreds of youth each year the importance of Faith and Fitness. Tab Recreation is an inner-city youth sports program that offers children ages 5-15 an opportunity to play sports in a Christian environment. Tab Recreation has developmental competitive leagues in football (flag & tackle), basketball, soccer, track, cheerleading/dance, chess, and soon wrestling.

We're excited to announce that Tab Recreation is officially moving to TeamSnap for registration and communication!

TAB SAINTS FOOTBALL IS HERE!

A new name. A renewed commitment. The same mission to serve kids and families through football.

The Tab Saints are more than a football team. We're a community built around player development, strong relationships, family, and creating an environment where young athletes can grow both on and off the field.

What makes the Tab Saints different?

✅ New dedicated and experienced coaching staff
✅ Focus on fundamentals, character, and confidence
✅ Family-centered atmosphere
✅ Turf field for practices and home games
✅ Positive mentorship and leadership development
✅ A program where every player matters

Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on our turf field, providing a consistent and safe environment for athletes to learn, compete, and develop.

Whether your child is new to football or looking to continue growing in the game, the Tab Saints are committed to helping young athletes build skills, friendships, and memories that last far beyond the season.

Due to incoming inclement weather, all Tab Recreation soccer games scheduled today at O’Bannon Park and Tab turf field have been cancelled.

🏈 Fall Tackle Football Registration is NOW OPEN (2nd–4th Grade)!

Tab Recreation football is stepping into a new season with a new team name, new equipment, and a new coaching staff, and we’re building it the right way.

This program is about development first: teaching fundamentals, building confidence, and surrounding kids with coaches who will mentor on and off the field. Practices and games take place on our turf field, and we’re proud to offer an excellent facility in a community and family environment that supports every player.

✅ Grades: 2nd, 3rd, 4th
✅ Focus: skill development, safety, character, growth, and fun
✅ Atmosphere: family, community, accountability
