Phillips Temple C M E Church-Indianapolis Pastor Peris Lester was appointed to Phillips Temple CME Church on Friday July 29, 2022 by Bishop Denise Anders-Modest.

Pastor Peris Lester - Just as Christ walked among the people (John 11: 54), I believe in providing services to the diverse populations in the cities where I am appointed to serve. I plan to join other ecumenical leaders to provide resources and services to those who might not otherwise have access to nutrition, representation, or health care, etc. ​

Our children are only 40% of our population but

are 100% of our future. The success of the continuation of our Connectional Church hinges on the preparation of our youth for ministry and Kingdom building. It has always been my mission at all of my appointments to have viable youth and young adult ministries. We work to build up and train our young members to edify Christ in their daily lives.
