Happy September! We pray you've had a good week and look forward to coming together to worship our Lord and Savior in His House! Pastor Scott will start a new sermon series named "To Further the Gospel," and it starts off with a message from Philippians 1 that is titled "Thankful for the Church." And, we are sure thankful for the church - the building, the people, the body of believers! Come join us this family worship service at 10:40am on Sunday (note: No Sunday school this week). We'll serve communion, learn about a new fundraiser that helps our GWJ Kids - Children's Ministry, have a chance to sign up for the men's and ladies' retreats, join a LIFE Group, and learn about a new opportunity to support members of our community! We have great music chosen to sing. Bring your praises, prayers, and selves to the church. We look forward to seeing you there!

This week, we have Rise & Shine Breakfast Club at the Rise & Shine Breakfast House on Tuesday at 9am; RIOT Youth Ministries at Wednesday at 6pm; and SW Food Pantry on Friday from 10am-12pm.

Hello friends! We look forward to seeing you at church this Sunday for a time of worship, learning, praising and praying! Pastor Scott's message will be "Teach Us to Live Wisely" from Psalm 90. We have really enjoyed this "Teach Us" series and think you will too! Sunday school for all ages starts at 9:30am and morning worship begins at 10:40am. We have nursery available for both of those and children's church also.

Our Sept. 24th-26th Men's Retreat still has some slots to fill, and we hope you sign up! This weekend away is always a good time with good time spent relaxing, eating delicious food, having sessions together concentrating on God's Word, spending time in reflection, and doing all kinds of fun activities like fishing, basketball, nature walks, playing games, golfing and more! Since the guys have a weekend away, the ladies are planning ours for next April. Get more information and register your interest, today! Also, we have new church shirts that you can order. You can find the QR codes a few posts back if you'd like to sign up for these retreats or order shirts!

This week, we will have Rise & Shine Breakfast Club at Cracker Barrel in Plainfield on Tuesday at 9am, RIOT Youth Group will meet at 6pm on Wednesday; and the SW Food Pantry is available from 10am to 12pm on Friday (participants can visit once monthly).

School has been in session for a little while now, and we wanted to take the time to say Thank You to the teachers who are helping the children to learn new and exciting skills, guiding them with kindness, and being a positive light in their lives! We know you work hard for your students! We are praying for you and for a great year!
