What a powerful Sunday at Diversity Church! We aren't just hearing about what God can do, we're seeing the evidence of His hand at work in our church and around the world. We were blessed to welcome the Pongratz family, who shared about their missional work in South Africa. Hearing firsthand how God is moving and changing lives was an incredible reminder that we are part of something so much bigger than ourselves.

After an amazing time of worship, Pastor Jonathan Ember continued The Dungeon of Despair with a powerful new message titled "I'm Shook." Through the story of Paul and Silas in prison, Pastor Jonathan contrasted their response to the earthquake with that of the jailer. The same shaking affected them very differently, reminding us that when life shakes everything around us, what matters is what our foundation is built on. Without God, the things we've placed our hope in can quickly crumble beneath us.

But the jailer's story didn't end in hopelessness. In the very moment he thought everything was lost, God was already working toward his rescue. He encountered Jesus, and his entire household was baptized! What a beautiful reminder that God WANTS to save us. When our foundations are shaken and despair tells us there is no hope, Jesus is still there, ready to rescue, restore, and give us a foundation that cannot be shaken.

In this powerful message, Chad McAtee, District Superintendent of the Indiana District Assemblies of God, challenges us with one simple but life-changing question: Where is your altar?

Teaching from Genesis 35 and the story of Jacob returning to Bethel, Pastor Chad reminds us that every believer needs a consistent place of meeting with God. The altar is more than a place at the front of a church. It is wherever we intentionally meet with God to pray, worship, confess, listen, and grow in relationship with Him.

As Jacob kept returning to the altar, God changed his identity, gave him direction, spoke promises over his future, and impacted generations that would come after him. In the same way, the altar experiences we choose today can shape the spiritual legacy of our families for years to come.

Through both Scripture and his own family testimony, Pastor Chad encourages us to keep showing up. When life gets busy, show up. When prayer feels difficult, show up. When you don't know what to say, show up. God is faithful to meet us there.

Find your altar. Keep meeting with God. And believe that what He does in you today can change generations tomorrow.

What a powerful weekend of encountering God at Diversity Church!

For our Diversity Men, that was quite literal as they gathered for two days at our North Campus for Men’s Encounter. Men showed up willing to be vulnerable before God and allowed Him to reveal, restore, rebuild, and bring freedom into areas of their lives. On Sunday morning, we had the privilege of hearing from some of those men as they shared testimonies of what God did in their hearts throughout the weekend. There is something powerful about hearing firsthand how God is changing lives!

We also enjoyed an incredible time of worship together before welcoming a very special guest to the pulpit, Chad McAtee, District Superintendent of the Indiana District Assemblies of God. We are incredibly thankful that Pastor Chad came prepared with a timely Word for our church, which also gave Pastor Jonathan an opportunity to rest after pouring so much into our men throughout Encounter weekend.

From the testimonies of changed men to worship and the preaching of God's Word, this weekend was another reminder that God is still revealing, restoring, rebuilding, and transforming lives! And we believe what happened at Encounter won't stay at Encounter. It will make its way into homes, marriages, families, workplaces, and our church as these men continue becoming the men of God they were created to be!

Please be in prayer for our Diversity Men as they gather today and tomorrow for Men’s Encounter.

Let’s come together in prayer believing that this will be a weekend of healing, freedom, breakthrough, and genuine encounters with the Living God. Pray that burdens are laid down, chains are broken, hearts are restored, and every man leaves changed by the presence of God.

May our men be strengthened in their faith, equipped to lead and serve well, and shaped into the men of God they were created and called to be. We’re believing that what God begins in them this weekend will impact their homes, families, church, workplaces, and communities for years to come.
