There are moments when God’s presence is undeniable.

While on the road for a Mobile Pantry, Randy from Catholic Charities Terre Haute experienced the undeniable presence of God through kindness from strangers and gratitude from families. The most memorable moment was delivering not only food, but donated furniture to help turn a family’s house into a home.

This is what our mission looks like in action - showing up for our neighbors in the moments that matter most.

Every day, the “small but mighty” team at Catholic Charities Terre Haute helps distribute more than 4.4 million pounds of food, and sometimes, they get to see God at work through their hands.

Our Executive Director, David Bethuram, recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Rome as part of his service on the Catholic Charities USA Board of Advisors. During this meaningful visit, David joined fellow leaders from across the country in reflecting on the shared mission of serving our neighbors in need and strengthening our commitment to Catholic social teaching.

One of the most profound highlights of the trip was a private audience with Pope Leo. The experience offered both inspiration and encouragement that strengthens our work here in central and southern Indiana.
