Mactown Nazarene Church

Mactown Nazarene Church We are a church that welcomes ALL! We invite you to join us Sunday Morning for worship at 9:00 AM.

McConnellstown Church of the Nazarene recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Daily Devotional from Pastor Josh

Read: Deut. 8:19-20

Talk: In both the good times and the bad we are called to give glory to God and to keep seeking Him. We do this not out of obligation but out of a love for God, no matter what life throws at us. How have you been doing at this?

Do: Spend some time just worshipping God today.

If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.

Daily Devotional from Pastor Josh

Read: Deut. 8:17-18

Talk: When is the last time you saw God moving in your life?

Do: Reflect on the week past. Write down in a journal all the times God has moved each day. Try doing this again tomorrow (and every day!), logging where you saw God each day.

You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

Daily Devotional from Pastor Josh

Read: Deut. 8:6-9

Talk: We’re going to daydream here a little bit; if God asked you to describe your own “Promised Land,” what would it be like? Do you find you are able to keep focused on God even when things are going good in life?

Do: Ask God for a season of “Promised Land.” Find ways to draw nearer to God in the midst of it!

Daily Devotional from Pastor Josh

Read: Deuteronomy 8:1-5

Talk: Why is it so difficult to remember we do not “live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD”?

Do: Think about a recent difficult situation or season. Ask God to show you how to glorify Him and draw nearer to Him in the midst of it all.

Do Not Forget the LORD - Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the LORD promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and t...
