Hey FRC, Did you all see the new instrument at church on Sunday? We now have a BASS ukulele!
We purchased this with the intention of helping more young people begin getting involved with the instruments on praise team.
Because of its size, this bass will be very accessible to kids even in elementary school and middle school. Bass guitar is also very simple to start learning — especially at a young age — and gives a good foundation for learning guitar later. I (Ross) am guessing with just a few lessons many kids would be able to start feeling comfortable enough to try it on a Sunday morning or in youth group.
The cajon (box drum) is another very accessible instrument for young people and gives a good foundation for drums later on.
