The Bible says sin is cosmic treason against a holy God, demanding elimination. But Jesus, enduring the cross, bears the weight of our transgressions. His innocent suffering is our path to redemption, covering sins past, present, and future.

Jesus proved He was Christ, the Son of God, through Scripture, not by responding to people's opinions. Obedience can appear powerless without understanding purpose.

The greatest thing we can send our children to school with isn't in their backpack. It's the prayers of God's people.

A new school year is here. Our kids are walking into classrooms, friendships, pressures, and decisions we can't always see. But they don't have to face any of it alone.

In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat was surrounded by an enemy he could not defeat. His first move wasn't strategy. It was surrender. He called God's people to seek the Lord together — and God answered: "Do not fear or be dismayed... for the battle is not yours, but God's."

That's our posture this school year.

📅 Sunday, August 9 — during both worship services, we're praying over every child and every student as they begin a new school year. We'll also share specific prayer focuses so we can keep lifting up the next generation as one church family.

⏰ 7 AM or 7 PM — pause and pray. Wherever you are, set an alarm and stop. Pray for our children, our students, their teachers, and their schools. Pray that God would move in this generation.

Let's pray that our children would know Jesus, love Him, seek His face, and obey Him. That God would place His hand of protection over their hearts, their minds, and their lives.

Parents. Grandparents. Church family. This is our call to action. Let's not wait until there's a crisis to pray. Let's fight for the next generation on our knees.

Today, Crossover recognizes and celebrates Juneteenth.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally received the news that they were free.

As a majority African American church, this day reminds us of the pain of injustice, the resilience of our ancestors, and God’s heart for freedom, healing, and restoration.

We remember so that injustice is not repeated. Racism and oppression are not reflections of Christ’s love. As followers of Jesus, we are called to stand for justice, walk in truth, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

Today, we celebrate freedom and recommit ourselves to reflecting the love, justice, and unity of Christ.
