Most of us don’t realize we’re living like gods.
We decide what’s right and wrong for ourselves.
We only respect people who already agree with us.
We treat every authority—parents, pastors, even God’s Word—as optional the moment it crosses our feelings.
And then we wonder why we’re so exhausted, anxious, and alone.
This isn’t new.
An ancient philosopher once threw himself into a volcano to prove he had become divine.
A later one announced that God was dead so man could finally create his own values.
We’re just living out the final chapter of that same story.
The results are all around us: homes falling apart, children growing up without fathers, confusion about the most basic realities of male and female, and a quiet despair that no amount of scrolling or self-expression can fix.
But there is another way.
God has never left the world without a path back.
The same offer He made in the garden, to Abraham, through the prophets, and in the cross of Jesus Christ is still on the table today.
You don’t have to keep carrying the crushing weight of being your own god.
