MSA is at K-Day today! 🌙

Come find the Muslim Students Association at Table 11 in Chassell Centennial Park, 1:00–5:00 PM. We'll have free snacks, a "Guess the Fact" trivia game, and plenty of friendly faces.

Everyone is welcome, whether you're Muslim, curious, or just stopping by to say salaam. Classes are dismissed at noon, and shuttles run from campus all afternoon.

We are happy to share some moments from our MSA Eid al-Adha BBQ Celebration 2026 at McLain State Park.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, brought food, gave rides, and helped make this event successful. It was a beautiful day of community, family, food, and celebration.

⚽🌙 MSA 3rd Soccer Tournament — Eid Edition Recap!

What a great Eid night of soccer, competition, and community at the SDC Multipurpose Rooms!

After all teams played their league games, Team 2 finished on top and became the MSA 3rd Soccer Tournament champions! 🏆🔥

Final Standings:

🥇 Team 2 — 7 pts
🥈 Team 1 — 4 pts
🥉 Team 4 — 3 pts

⚽🌙 MSA 3rd Soccer Tournament — Eid Edition!

Celebrate Eid night with soccer, competition, and community!

📅 Wednesday, May 27
🕗 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
📍 SDC Multipurpose Rooms

This tournament will follow a league format: each team plays against the other three teams, and the winner will be decided by total points.

🏆 Scoring System:
Win = 3 points
Draw = 1 point
Loss = 0 points

⚖️ If teams are tied on points, goal difference will decide the ranking.

👥 Team format:
Each team has 7 players + 1 substitute

The defending champions were challenged, the comeback stories were real, and the league table was tight until the end 🔥

After all teams played their 3 games, Team 3 finished on top with 6 points, followed closely by Team 4 with 5 points.

Houghton/Michigan Tech’s Mosque was recently highlighted as one of the most isolated mosques in America — 159 miles from the nearest other mosque.

For many communities, a masjid is nearby. For us, it is different. In a place this remote, keeping our masjid open and active is not just about a building. It is about preserving a space for salah, community, support, and belonging for students, families, and local Muslims in the Upper Peninsula.

This distance is exactly why our masjid matters so much.

Alhamdulillah, here is the recording of our MSA workshop with Dr. Ali Awad on using Agentic AI to streamline workflows and improve productivity.

Held at the MTU Mosque on April 18, 2026, this session gave attendees a hands-on introduction to practical AI tools and real workflow applications.
