Ruth 4:1-22

You know how it goes. You're out in the sun -- laughing, living, not thinking about anything except how good the day is. Then you go inside. And the pain hits. You didn't feel it happening. You were having too good a time. But the sun was doing its work the whole time. Some of life's hardest seasons are exactly like that. Things were fine. And then you went inside. And suddenly you couldn't ignore what the heat had already done. This summer we're walking through the book of Ruth -- the story of a woman who got burned by life and had to figure out what to do with the damage. If you've ever been blindsided by something you didn't see coming, this is for you. Because here's the thing about a sunburn: you don't heal it by going back outside. Healing finds you when you finally are covered up.

☀️ Today's the Day! ☀️

Join us this morning for a special Church at the Beach service at 10:00 AM at Chassell Township Centennial Park!

We'll gather for worship, celebrate life change through baptism, and enjoy a church picnic afterward. The church is providing the main dish, just bring your own drinks and a side or dessert to share if you're able.

It's going to be a wonderful morning of worship, fellowship, and celebrating what God is doing in the lives of our church family. We hope to see you there!

Ruth had no guarantees, no backup plan, and nothing to offer. Yet she walked in obedience and God showed up in a way she never expected. Real faith isn't making deals with God. It's trusting the One who already ruled in your favor.

Looking for a fun place for your kids to play indoors? We'd love to welcome you to Evangel Community Church's Indoor Open Playground!

With smoky conditions expected over the next couple of weeks, we're opening our playground to the community as a cool, indoor place for kids to play and families to connect.

📅 Tuesday–Thursday
🕚 11:00 AM–2:00 PM
July 21–23 & July 28–30

The playground is free, open to the community, and designed for preschool through elementary-aged children. Parents or caregivers are asked to stay and supervise their children while they play.

We hope you'll join us! Invite a friend, spread the word, and come enjoy a few hours of indoor fun. We can't wait to see you!
