A memorial service for the Rt. Rev. Craig Anderson will be held at Calvary Cathedral on the Feast of the Ascension, Thursday, May 14th, beginning at 10:00 am. Bishop Anderson, who had been living with wife Liz in Odessa, MN, died at the age of 83 on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. He was the 8th bishop of the Diocese of South Dakota, serving from 1984 to 1992.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 11th, 2026, at All Saints Chapel in Sewanee, Tennessee. His portrait at the cathedral has been posted near the baptismal font since his passing. Please continue to pray for his family. "Well done, good and faithful servant."
