🌅 Before the sunrise… there was silence.

The stone was still in place.
The tomb was still sealed.
Hope felt buried.

The cross had done its work.

And for a moment, it looked like darkness had won.

But heaven was not finished.

On the third day, everything changed.

The stone was rolled away.
The grave was empty.
Death had lost its hold.

“He is not here; He has risen.” (Luke 24:6)

The One who was pierced… now lives.
The One who was buried… now reigns.
The One who was silent… now speaks life.

Sin—defeated.
Death—undone.
The grave—overcome.

This is not just a moment in history.

This is victory.

This is hope that cannot be buried.
This is life that cannot be taken.
This is a Savior who cannot be stopped.

And because He lives…
we are not who we were.

Because He lives…
our story is not over.

Because He lives…
hope has a name.

Jesus.

He is risen. ✝️

If this truth fills your heart today, share it—so someone else can be reminded that the grave is still empty.

Christ is risen. Hope is alive.

The empty tomb declares that sin is defeated, death is overcome, and new life is offered to all who trust in Him. Because He lives, we have a living hope that sustains us today and secures our future for eternity.

The resurrection is not only the victory of Christ; it is the assurance that darkness does not have the final word and that new life is possible through Him.

This Easter, may we rejoice in the risen Savior and be renewed in our calling to share the good news, so that others may know the hope and new life found in Jesus.

Happy Easter from the WMU Foundation!

How fitting it is to continue our Love of Christ Scripture series today! This Easter weekend is the perfect time to reflect on and praise God for the great love He has for us.

So true that some deny the words of scripture.

🙏 During Day 6 of the Week of Prayer for North American Missions, join us in praying for the Every family.

Leon & Javon Every drove by a church for years until one packed parking lot made them curious. A few Sundays later, they walked in, and their story changed forever. With missionaries Troy & Chanel Gause, Ames Boulevard Baptist Church was replanted to reach people like the Everys. They are now seeking Christ and seeing their children and grandchildren transformed.

🙏 For Day 5 of the Week of Prayer for North American Missions, join us in praying for Troy and Chanel Gause.

A tiny, aging church was months from closing until it hired Troy Gause to mow the lawn. What started as a landscaping job turned into a God-sized miracle. Troy, a church-planting missionary, connected with Ames Boulevard Baptist Church’s faithful few, and together, they relaunched Cross Community Church. Now? Baptisms, salvations, and life are back in the building. God raised this church from the dead.

🙏 Today is Day 3 of the Week of Prayer for North American Missions!

Once living with a substance use disorder, Will Buchanan thought his life was over. But God had other plans. Today Will is a pastor in Hanover, VA, one of many transformed through The Fix, the church plant & recovery program that was started by the missionary family we focused on praying for yesterday. Only Jesus makes this kind of change possible and connects people’s stories in such powerful ways!

🙏 It’s Day 2 of the Week of Prayer for North American Missions!

From chasing a fix, to finding the Fix. Fred & Casey Weymouth were once homeless and lived with substance use disorders. Then they met Jesus, and everything changed. Now they’ve planted The Fix Church in Richmond, VA, where people are finding freedom & hope in Christ.
