Holly Springs Bible Fellowship

Holly Springs Bible Fellowship Holly Springs is located in Northwestern Iowa. We are approximately 30 miles from the corner of Iowa We are interested in “being” rather than just “doing”.

Holly Springs Bible Fellowship exists to develop believers who can handle life’s demands according to the principles of God’s Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit, so that Christ may be seen, and God may be glorified. (“You in me, and I in you.” John 14:20)

WE DESIRE TO SEE REGENERATION, RATHER THAN REFORMATION

We desire people to come as they are and change as they grow in their relationshi

p to God. We desire change from the inside out, rather than from the outside in. THE CHURCH IS PEOPLE, NOT PROGRAMS, OR FACILITIES

Holly Springs Bible Fellowship is not located at 280th & Moville Blacktop; this is the location of our building and facility. The Fellowship is scattered all over the Westwood area, because our people are the church. We do not come to church on Sunday; we are the church 7 days a week. WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get)

Transparency and honesty are qualities which we honor. Being a “performer” in the Christian life is not acceptable behavior for the believer. WE ARE A FAMILY

Family relationships are not optional within the church. Relationships are the church. We struggle together as a family, and we have some of the same difficulties any family experiences. However, we work through our struggles together, rather than alone. The Christian life is not a solo journey. We are interdependent on one another, not independent of one another. WE GO INTO THE WORLD, RATHER THAN BRINGING THE WORLD TO US

We are to be salt and light in this world. Therefore we seek to be known as a friend of sinners, without being known as a friend of the world. LESS IS MORE

With the constant time demands of our society, it is easy for church activities to be destructive to the family and the church body. Therefore, we seek to establish activities on a “need” basis rather than a “tradition” basis. THE BIBLE IS FOR TRANSFORMATION, NOT INFORMATION

We believe the best test of your relationship to God is demonstrated by your life under pressure. Our actions can be planned, but our reactions reveal our character. God’s Word must be applied and worked into our lives, not just studied, read, or honored. BALANCE

This ministry is structured for growth, not control.

Matthew 27 – Forsaken – On the cross, Jesus takes our sin upon Himself. He loves us that much and endures God the Father turning His back on God the Son. If God did that to Jesus, realize that you cannot stand before Him in your sin. Accept His gift of forgiveness. love, and acceptance. Make this Easter day – the day that your new life as a Christian begins.

We would love to have you join us as we celebrate our resurrected Savior.

Palm Sunday - 2026 0329 - Jimmmy Cockburn

03/22/2026

Luke 6 – Obedience – Jesus wonders why people call Him Lord or master and don't obey and follow His teaching. Every time we open the Word of God, we make a choice. We obey what it teaches us, or we walk away and ignore the spirit of God. We either grow closer to God in that encounter with Him, or we are apart. Walk in obedience this week and make Jesus the Lord of all you do.

We are currently in a series of questions Jesus asked. Since we had to cancel services this morning, here is a message from 2022 in which James asks a question for the early church-"What kind of Faith is that?"

Due to the Blizzard conditions and weather that should deteriorate throughout the morning and afternoon, we are cancelling our service this morning. We want to err on the side of caution and help keep people safe, without making things harder for our road crews, responders, and emergency personnel. We encourage you to pass this message along and stay safe today.

Questions 10 - 2026 0308

03/01/2026

Luke 22:27 – Jesus asks who is greater? = To genuinely be like Jesus, we must learn to serve others like Jesus did. His ultimate goal was to please the Father by giving His life for ours. God challenges each of us to serve one another this week. Find someone you can serve and minister to as you go about your week.

John = One of the early questions in the life of Jesus is when he asks his followers, "What are they seeking?" At the tomb, Jesus asks, "Who are you seeking?" The "what" of life is really answered by a "who" – Jesus. Be honest with yourself regarding your personal relationship with Jesus and find your real purpose in life. Live intentionally in all that you do and say this week.

Matthew 6 - Worry – Jesus challenges us to realize what is important in life. He will take care of our food and clothing. We have tremendous value to God, and He will take care of His people. Control is an illusion; we only think we are in control. God is the one in control. Don't waste your energy worrying about things that don't matter or things you cannot control. You trust God for your eternal destiny; trust Him with the things you face this week.

John 21 - Do You Love Me?

02/01/2026

Luke 7 – Do you see people as Jesus sees people? Every person you see this week is someone Jesus loves and died for. Jesus expects us to show them the same love that He showed us. This week, may we each look past what our eyes see and try to see the soul of the people we encounter. It is my prayer that we would really see the people around us and show them the compassion and love of Jesus.
