First District Association of Baptists in Kentucky

First District Association of Baptists in Kentucky Moderator:
Rev. Dr. Timothy A. Collazo The First District Association is an association comprised of Baptist churches throughout western Kentucky.

We have churches within our district that range from Hopkinsville, Princeton, Crofton, Herndon, Murray, Earlington, Madisonville, Henderson, and Owensboro . Our association is committed to evangelism, education, foreign and home missions. It is our desire to see our member churches maximize their potential as the association maximizes it's potential. We desire to strengthen our churches, clergy, c

ongregants and communities. There is greatness that lies within our association and it's member churches and we wish to tap into this great potential, unleashing it by coming together and unifying our efforts to advance the mandate of our Savior. The District’s main objective is the support of Hopkinsville College of the Bible.

We extend our deepest condolences and constant prayers to the entire family of one of our greatest servants and steadfast supporters, Sis. Bettye Sue Shelton. This beloved member of our district served with a genuine concern for people as well as for the cause of Christ. She faithfully served as the President of Circle 3, and leaves behind a lasting legacy of love for all to emulate.
Arrangements have been included.

We are grateful to God for a wonderful WMEC Annual Session, and as we walk into the 134th Session with our great convention, we do so celebrating the service of our outgoing president Sis. Paulette Jones, and supporting our incoming president and her leadership team.
Congratulations to Pres. Dorothy Green, First Vice Pres. Renee Butler Fort, and Second Vice President April Johnson.
The church and it’s organized associations continue to be the shining example of the importance of effective leadership positional transition with continuity and integrity.
We thank God for all that have joined the WMEC as well as those that continue to serve in this collection of servants for Kingdom Cause!
Let us continue to “Move Forward While Being Forged in Our Faith”
Balance and Blessings,
Moderator

We thank God for the opportunity to celebrate the service rendered by President Paulette Jones during her tenured banquet. The event was attended by her family, our district constituency, members of the LRCV and GABKY Associations, and was highlighted by wonderful worship as well as powerful preaching by our Western Regional Moderator Rev. Dr. Phillip L. Suber. (photos taken by Sis. Martha Holley, District Historian)
