Honoring Pastor Mark Elgert

Today, Nazareth Lutheran Church and King of Glory Churches have a special reason to celebrate!

For the past two years, Mark Elgert served as Vicar with us, sharing his time, gifts, faith, and ministry with our congregations.

On August 9, 2026, Mark reached an incredible milestone—he was ordained as a pastor! ✝️

Today, following our worship service, we are honored to celebrate him with a special luncheon as we recognize this next chapter in his ministry.

Congratulations, Pastor Mark! We are thankful for the time you spent with us as our vicar, and we pray that God continues to bless and guide you as you begin your ministry as an ordained pastor. ❤️🙏

Back-to-School Collection at Nazareth Lutheran Church

Our Back-to-School Collection is ready to help local children start the school year off with the supplies they need!

Thanks to the generosity of our church family and community, we have backpacks and school supplies gathered and ready to go.

It’s always a blessing to see our church come together to support our children and families. We are so thankful for everyone who donated, helped organize, or supported this collection in any way!

Together, we can help make going back to school a little brighter!

No matter what you're facing today, remember that God sees your exhaustion, your worries, and your struggles. He promises to renew those who are weary and fill those who are running on empty.

Take a moment to pause, pray, and trust that His strength is enough for today. May you find peace, rest, and hope in His promises.

Due to smoke from the Canadian wildfires, our area's air quality may be unhealthy today.

For the health and safety of our community, please:
🏠 Stay indoors whenever possible.
🪟 Keep your windows and doors closed.
💙 Limit outdoor activities, especially if you have asthma, heart or lung conditions, or other respiratory concerns.

As a church family, let's also remember to check in on our elderly neighbors, those with health concerns, and anyone who may need a helping hand during this time.

Please join us in praying for the firefighters, first responders, those affected by the wildfires, and for God's protection and comfort over all communities impacted.
