Last Sunday we had the honor of having some amazing friends from the mainland join us at RCI and it was powerful! What a blessing it was to get a faith lift and be encouraged in the Word by Pastor Esther Van Rensburg. We had the best time at Summer Fest over the weekend in Honolulu. We saw 83 total men, women, and children respond to make Jesus their Lord and Savior. There were also 9 affiliated gang members in the parking lot that just so happened to be there hanging out during the event. When the alter call was given the men had one hand holding their beers and the other one raised in the air as they prayed the salvation prayer from the parking lot. The power of God surged across the field and many were powerful touched and set free! A big Mahalo to all our RCI Ohana and everyone who came out to help with this event 🤙

We are so stoked about all that God is doing at RCI in Honolulu! Yesterday was another powerful Sunday in presence of God!

Pastor Joshua reminded us to count it all JOY when you encounter various trials or temptations and to be of GOOD CHEER —James 1:2, John 16:33.

* Happiness is circumstantial, but the JOY of the Lord will sustain you through every test, trial, and storm of life!

* Do not sorrow, for the JOY of the Lord is your strength. —Nehemiah 8:10

* More JOY equals more strength.

* A merry heart does good like medicine.

* If you are feeling weak, tired, and defeated that’s your signal to check your JOY tank.

* Psalm 118:24- This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

* JOY is a choice that we have to make everyday.

* Stop waiting for your circumstances to align to be happy, choose JOY and watch God begin to turn everything around for your good!

* Isaiah 12:3 - Therefore with JOY you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

* JOY is not something that you have to try to obtain, it comes from Someone already living on the inside of you.

* We have to tap into that well of living water on the inside of us everyday!

* Out of your innermost being will flow rivers of living water. —John 7:37

* Psalm 23:5 - You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

* Joy is not an amusement of the mind, but an overflow of the heart.

* JOY has a voice and the sound of JOY is laughter, but JOY is so much more than just laughing.

* Psalm 16:11 - You will show me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of JOY.

What an awesome Mother’s Day service this past Sunday at R.C.I.🌸

We were honored to celebrate and shower the amazing mothers of our church with gifts as we thanked God for their love, sacrifice, strength, and faithfulness.

Pastor Joshua continued our powerful “Heart” series with a timely message challenging us to examine the condition of our hearts before God.

Every day we are faced with a decision:
Will we yield to the flesh, or will we walk in the Spirit?

“Put off concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts… and put on the new man which was created according to the image of God.”— Ephesians 4:22-24

Some powerful reminders from the message:

• God does not drive us — religion does. He does not force us but rather He is the Good Shepherd who lovingly leads His people. (Psalm 23)

• God’s Word is His will, and His will is His way.

• The enemy speaks to your head, but God speaks to your heart.

• Follow after God and His Word, and allow His peace to rule and reign in your HEART as an umpire. — Colossians 3:15

• Pride is a stumbling block to the life of the believer.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” — Proverbs 1:7

• In the Kingdom of God, the way up is the way down.

If you want to go higher, you must first go lower before the King. Humble yourself before the Lord, and He will lift you up. — James 4:10

We are thankful for all that God is doing at R.C.I., and we believe He is continuing to transform hearts and change lives by His Word and through His presence!
