Dawson Music & Worship

Dawson Music & Worship There are some things that words alone just can’t say. For those times, there’s music.

And when music becomes the servant of faith, it is transformed into a powerful tool for expressing and receiving the redemption found through Jesus Christ.

We are still thinking about the Sanctuary Orchestra Concert from last week and how we can't wait for them to rejoin us in the Fall. The Sanctuary Orchestra is comprised of students, professionals, people who haven't picked up their instrument in a long time, and people who just love to play. If you have at least two years of experience on an instrument, come join us for Orchestra Lab on June 24, 2026 at 6pm in the Social Hall. It is a way to see if Orchestra is right for you without any expectations or commitment.

Last Thursday The Dawsonaires celebrated a wonderful year of ministry. We are in a season of making it work and needed to get creative for our location. We were able to have it in The Loft which was a perfect size and setting for the event. The food was delicious and the entertainment was wonderful. We had Cam Story, a Dawson Young Professional in the Sanctuary Choir, bring his banjo and sing a few great toe tapping songs.

The Dawsonaires are an adult choir that meets on Thursday mornings at 10:00am in the Choir room. We have fellowships once a month to celebrate the wonderful people of The Dawsonaires and ministry concerts throughout the city. We bring the year to a close with a Spring Ministry Tour to bring our ministry to other cities throughout the South. All are welcome and we would love to have you join us in the Fall. We always have a seat at the table.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, all evening activities, including the Sanctuary Orchestra Concert, are canceled for today, May 6. Church office will close at 4:30 p.m. This was not an easy decision but the safety of all involved is what ultimately let to this decision. We are currently in the process of rescheduling and will communicate that as we can.
