It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Delores Moore. Delores was a beloved leader and member of our church family, and we give thanks to God for her life, faith, kindness, and witness among us.

Delores died unexpectedly just after midnight on May 22.

Delores served Homewood CPC faithfully for many years as well as a current Sunday School teacher, elder, current Clerk of Session, current financial secretary, and current office administrator. She also served Grace Presbytery most recently as a member of the Committee on Congregational and Confessional Concerns and was an elder commissioner to the 188th General Assembly. There are simply not enough words to describe the countless ways Delores made all of us better people through her faithful service, wisdom, encouragement, and love for Christ and His Church.

Please keep her son Grant, her family, and all who loved her in your prayers during this time of grief and loss. Delores was preceded in death by her husband Don and son Doug.

Let us pray together:

Gracious and loving God, we thank You for the life of Delores Moore and for the many ways she blessed this church family. In this time of sorrow, surround her family and friends with Your peace, comfort, and strength. Remind us of the hope we have in Jesus Christ, who is the resurrection and the life. Hold us close in Your mercy, calm our grieving hearts, and assure us that nothing can separate us from Your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
