💔🙌💔 This could transform someone's life!

Look at what they did to Jesus! Did that change who He was? Did it lessen His value? Did He stop being the song God because they abused Him, and ridiculed and killed Him? Absolutely not! You are not what other people did to you! Draw near to the healer of your soul!

Isaiah 61:1-2a. ESV

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,

because the Lord has anointed me

to bring good news to the poor;

he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim liberty to the captives,

and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor,"

Good Morning SCC! The Word of God is an endless treasure of wisdom and insight, food for the soul, and clarity in a very confused world! I hope it's a priority in your heart and mind not just to read it but believe it and live it!

Proverbs Chapter 16

1 We can make our own plans,
but the LORD gives the right answer.

2 People may be pure in their own eyes,
but the LORD examines their motives.

3 Commit your actions to the LORD,
and your plans will succeed.

4 The LORD has made everything for his own purposes,
even the wicked for a day of disaster.

5 The LORD detests the proud;
they will surely be punished.

6 Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin.
By fearing the LORD, people avoid evil.

7 When people’s lives please the LORD,
even their enemies are at peace with them.

8 Better to have little, with godliness,
than to be rich and dishonest.

9 We can make our plans,
but the LORD determines our steps.

10 The king speaks with divine wisdom;
he must never judge unfairly.

11 The LORD demands accurate scales and balances;
he sets the standards for fairness.

12 A king detests wrongdoing,
for his rule is built on justice.

13 The king is pleased with words from righteous lips;
he loves those who speak honestly.

14 The anger of the king is a deadly threat;
the wise will try to appease it.

15 When the king smiles, there is life;
his favor refreshes like a spring rain.

16 How much better to get wisdom than gold,
and good judgment than silver!

17 The path of the virtuous leads away from evil;
whoever follows that path is safe.

18 Pride goes before destruction,
and haughtiness before a fall.

19 Better to live humbly with the poor
than to share plunder with the proud.

20 Those who listen to instruction will prosper;
those who trust the LORD will be joyful.

21 The wise are known for their understanding,
and pleasant words are persuasive.

22 Discretion is a life-giving fountain to those who possess it,
but discipline is wasted on fools.

23 From a wise mind comes wise speech;
the words of the wise are persuasive.

24 Kind words are like honey—
sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.

25 There is a path before each person that seems right,
but it ends in death.

26 It is good for workers to have an appetite;
an empty stomach drives them on.

27 Scoundrels create trouble;
their words are a destructive blaze.

28 A troublemaker plants seeds of strife;
gossip separates the best of friends.

29 Violent people mislead their companions,
leading them down a harmful path.

30 With narrowed eyes, people plot evil;
with a smirk, they plan their mischief.

31 Gray hair is a crown of glory;
it is gained by living a godly life.

32 Better to be patient than powerful;
better to have self-control than to conquer a city.

33 We may throw the dice,
but the LORD determines how they fall.

To say you love God and not value His Word is a dangerous contradiction! If you find yourself there I invite you to repent and ask God to give you a hunger for righteousness! God's Word is right and true!

God bless your day!

I know we haven't recorded our service in a few weeks, but that because we have been sitting around a table having great discussions and Bible study in Philippians!

This week we cover Philippians chapter 4. If you had not read the book of Philippians I invite you to do so! It is a very important book! Paul was in prison for preaching the Gospel, but his love for the believers in Philipi, was strong and obvious!

He had founded the church in Philippi, and due to their love for Jesus and their work to advance the gospel, they had developed a very deep bond! Paul, now in prison writes what may be his most personal and affectionate letter!

It's important to note, the Jesus said we would be known as His disciples for our love for another! Not for attending a church service or even being the member of one, but by how well we love each other!

In verse 1 of chapter 4 Paul says, "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work."

May God help us each to open our hearts to the power and depth of the love of God in Christ!

Philippians is a short but very powerful book! In today's message w...

Psalm 20

"In times of trouble, may the Lord answer your cry.

May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm.

2 May he send you help from his sanctuary

and strengthen you from Jerusalem.

3 May he remember all your gifts

and look favorably on your burnt offerings.

Interlude

4 May he grant your heart’s desires

and make all your plans succeed.

5 May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory

and raise a victory banner in the name of our God.

May the Lord answer all your prayers.

6 Now I know that the Lord rescues his anointed king.

He will answer him from his holy heaven

and rescue him by his great power.

7 Some nations boast of their chariots and horses,

but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.

8 Those nations will fall down and collapse,

but we will rise up and stand firm.

9 Give victory to our king, O Lord!

Answer our cry for help." NLT

Good morning SCC! What is God trying to persuade you of regardless of the circumstances around you? Is it of one of His attributes? Is it a promise He has made you that seems impossible and no where in sight?

"And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God." James 2:23, NLT

I do not understand God's timing but I do know He is not a man that He would lie to us! Trust Him! He will keep His Word in His time and way!

Strength and peace be to you all! 🕊🤲✝️

Good morning SCC. I want to share with you a song. But more importantly, I want to encourage you sometime this week in your time with the Lord, which I hope you have, imagine if this song actually happened in Scott New York! 🔥🕊🔥
It is God's desire & will! 💥✝️💥
Can you imagine the people who would get saved, healed, delivered! The miracles that would happen? How God would be glorified!
💔🤲💔

2 Chronicle 7:14-18 MSG
"if my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health. From now on I’m alert day and night to the prayers offered at this place. Believe me, I’ve chosen and sanctified this Temple that you have built: My Name is stamped on it forever; my eyes are on it and my heart in it always. As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I’ve set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments, then I’ll back your kingly rule over Israel—make it a sure thing on a sure foundation." 💥✝️💥

Strength and honor and much love to you all! 💜
