In 1 John 3:11–24, John teaches that genuine faith in God is shown through active love for others, contrasting Christ’s selfless sacrifice with Cain’s hatred and warning that love must be expressed through actions, not just words. He also reassures believers that when they trust in Jesus and obey God’s command to believe in His Son and love one another, they can live confidently before God through the presence of the Holy Spirit.
