Today we start the last book of the challenge for October 2026!

The book of James has so much packed into it, but one of the key themes that James emphasizes is this: Faith without works is dead.

In Hebrews we read about the importance of faith and people who lived incredible lives of faith. James isn’t contradicting any of that, but his point is this: If you say you have faith and your life doesn’t back up your profession, your faith is dead. As he says in James 1:22 “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only.” Live out your faith today!

“But without FAITH it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

God is looking for young people of FAITH! FAITH is NOT just for the famous people of the Bible. It is NOT just for an older generation. It is for YOU! Live in faith today. Believe that God is and that He will reward diligent seeking of Him!

In today’s reading the author of Hebrews is showing his readers that Christ is the perfect sacrifice for sin. In Hebrews 9:12 he writes, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for our redemption. If you haven’t received that, don’t go another day without accepting Him!

Get in the WORD today! 🙌🏽
Listen to what Hebrews 7:25 says, “Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Jesus is interceding for YOU today! He is praying for YOU today!

There is always HOPE!!!
Toward the end of Hebrews 6 the author emphasizes the hope that we have. This is not a hope based in earthly things or situations that might change for the better. It is a hope based in Christ. Hebrews 6:19-20 says, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, EVEN JESUS…” You have HOPE today!

DAY 23 🙌🏼
In today’s reading we have several verses about the power of God’s Word that we have looked at in youth. But I want to encourage you with the last few verses of Hebrews 4! In these verses a beautiful picture is painted of Jesus our High Priest. He knows what you’re going through! And in verse 16 it says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” He has what you need today! Go into His presence and seek His help!

The author of Hebrews gives an incredible defense for why following and serving Jesus is better than any other way. Jesus became a man and died to destroy the power of death over us. Today if you are facing a spiritual battle remember what Hebrews 2:18 says, ““For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.” He is on your side!
