ST. FRANCIS PARISH UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 8TH
As you all know, 2026 is the year of Catechesis! There is no better way to celebrate this year than to become a religious education aide or catechist! If you are interested in learning more about you can be a part of catechizing our young people, please see the flyer below!
Members of the St. Francis Catholic School FSA will be on the plaza on September 12th & 13th selling the Island Value Cards. Each card costs $25. We also have them available for sale in the Parish Office.
This weekend is Fellowship Weekend. We will have Fellowship after the 7 p.m. Spanish Mass on Saturday evening, September 12th and on Sunday, after the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses in the Family Center on September 13th.
Mark your calendars for the beginning of Bible Study on September 10th at 9:15 a.m. in the Family Center and the beginning of Centering Prayer on September 14th at 12:15 p.m. in the Family Center. For more information, please scroll down the Bible Study and Centering Prayer sections.
The Beatification of the 5 Georgia Martyrs is coming up on October 31st in Savannah. The tickets are free, but you have to reserve spots. The WOSF is planning to bring a few carpools; it is a wonderful opportunity to see a Beatification so close to us. To register for this event, please see the button below.
We have two openings: Director of Religious Education here at St. Francis and also Donation Line Coordinator / Driver at the St. Francis Thrift Shop. If you know of someone who might be interested in either position, please see the "Help Wanted" section below.
