The start of a new school year brings new routines, new classrooms, and new opportunities.
But before we think about grades, schedules, or supplies, we pray.
We pray that our children would know Christ more deeply than they know the world. That they would grow in wisdom before knowledge, character before achievement, and faithfulness before success.
Whether they are learning at home, in a private school, or in a public school, may this be a year marked by the presence of God.

Today's message confronted both the arrogant heart that believes it can control tomorrow and the anxious heart that fears it. No matter which one we tend toward, the invitation is the same: trust God with today.
Truth has a way of lingering when we don't rush past it. As you move through this week, keep coming back to what God spoke today. Not just to remember it... but to let it change the way you live.

Comparison always pretends it’s about them… but it quietly shifts our eyes off what God is doing right in front of us.

Joy grows when we remember where our life comes from, who it belongs to, and what it’s ultimately for. We’re not competing for attention, approval, or significance. We’re stewarding what we’ve been given… trusting that God knows how to place it, grow it, and use it.

There’s freedom in releasing comparison and choosing to celebrate what God is doing everywhere… especially when it isn’t centered on us.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.”

That sentence is a theological claim before it’s a political one. Dignity isn’t granted by governments or preserved by power… it’s given by God, and we’re responsible to live like we believe it. At the founding of our nation, many understood the immense significance of that.

250 years later, we’re grateful for those who staked everything on that conviction… that our rights come from God, not government. We don’t take it for granted. Happy 250th birthday, America. Home of the free, because of the brave.

You can be forsaken by everyone who ever loved you and still not be forsaken.

That’s the line the world can’t make sense of, but the Word never flinches from it. Father, mother, friend, family, every human covenant has a breaking point, a limit to what flesh can carry. But there is a love that was never bound to proximity, never dependent on whether anyone stayed close enough to hear you. It does not require nearness to know your name.

This is the God who hears in the wilderness. The God who is not deafened by distance, not absent in the silence, not far off when the people meant to stay are gone. His ear is not shortened. His arm is not too short to save.

If you are far from everyone right now, you are not far from Him.
