Happiest of Thanksgivings to All….. we remember and celebrate our Fore Fathers today with a grateful heart, but most importantly we celebrate our Lord with a heart ♥️ of Thanksgiving today and everyday.

Prov 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the wellsprings of life.

WE are to guard our heart, not the LORD. I've heard many people pray, "LORD guard my heart today". That is not a prayer that will be answered. All through out scripture the LORD commands us to guard our own heart.

We must be diligent and aggressive about what we see and hear. Our eyes and our ears are gateways into our heart and soul. Our emotions can be another gateway as well, as the hurts and wounds we experience in our lives will effect our hearts if we do not deal with them(the hurts and wounds) in the way that Jesus has instructed us to. Forgiveness and Repentance are two ways that we keep our hearts clean. It is a faith work, working out our salvation, in concert with Holy Spirit that will keep our hearts free and clean.

Jesus came and raised the standard. In the old covenant when you committed the act of adultery you were guilty of sin, Jesus says in Matthew 5:28, that if you look upon a woman and lust after her you've already committed adultery in your heart.

The same applies to murder. You do not have to physically murder someone for you to be guilty of murder, but from your heart you can murder, through anger and hatred of someone will lead us to murder. Gossiping is a form of murder. Have you ever read Prov 6:16-19 about the six things GOD hates? Seven that are detestable to HIM?

Matthew 5:8 says, the pure in heart shall see GOD. Just on this scripture alone we see the importance of keeping or guarding our heart. You cannot read or watch whatever you want and expect your heart to stay pure and clean. You WILL become what you behold. What you give yourself to is what gets into your heart and that only is what will come out.

So it is time for us to look at our hearts with the help of Holy Spirit. To deal with all the hurts and wounds of our past. All the bitterness and resentment, any memories that we have, that cause pain when we think of them or brings up fears or rejections. It is time for us, THE CHURCH, THE BRIDE of CHRIST to examine our hearts and deal with what Holy Spirit shows us. When we do then we are becoming the Bride of Christ that is preparing herself for the Bridegroom.

Forgiving someone is easy but rebuilding trust and walking out of pain is an entirely different thing.

When a person repents, part of the "fruit of their repentance" should be a proactive plan to rebuild trust. I am obligated by the Cross to totally forgive EVERY offense. But I am under no obligation from heaven to ever trust you again. Trust is not a right, it's a privilege!

Unforgiveness is classified in medical books as a disease. According to Dr. Steven Standiford, chief of surgery at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, refusing to forgive makes people sick and keeps them that way.

With that in mind, forgiveness therapy is now being used to help treat diseases, such as cancer.

"It's important to treat emotional wounds or disorders because they really can hinder someone's reactions to the treatments, even someone's willingness to pursue treatment," Standiford explained.

Of all cancer patients, 61 percent have forgiveness issues, and of those, more than half are severe, according to research by Dr. Michael Barry, a pastor and the author of the book, The Forgiveness Project.

"Harboring these negative emotions, this anger and hatred, creates a state of chronic anxiety," he said.

"Chronic anxiety very predictably produces excess adrenaline and cortisol, which deplete the production of natural killer cells, which is your body's foot soldier in the fight against cancer," he explained.

Barry said the first step in learning to forgive is to realize how much we have been forgiven by God.

"When a person forgives from the heart which is the gold standard we see in Matthew 18, forgiveness from the heart we find that they are able to find a sense of peacefulness. Quite often our patients refer to that as a feeling of lightness," he said.

Barry said most people don't realize what a burden anger and hatred were until they let them go. ~CBN News Jun 25, 2015

Psalm 32Amplified Bible (AMP)
Blessedness of Forgiveness and of Trust in God.
A Psalm of David. A skillful [a]song, or a didactic or reflective poem.

32 Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, favored by God] is he whose transgression is forgiven,
And whose sin is covered.
2

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute wickedness,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3

When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away
Through my groaning all the day long.
4

For day and night Your hand [of displeasure] was heavy upon me;
My [b]energy (vitality, strength) was drained away as with the burning heat of summer. Selah.
5

I acknowledged my sin to You,
And I did not hide my wickedness;
I said, “I will confess [all] my transgressions to the Lord”;
And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.
6

Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You [for forgiveness] in a time when You [are near and] may be found;
Surely when the great waters [of trial and distressing times] overflow they will not reach [the spirit in] him.
7

You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble;
You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah.

8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.
9

Do not be like the horse or like the mule which have no understanding,
Whose trappings include bridle and rein to hold them in check,
Otherwise they will not come near to you.
10

Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
But he who trusts in and relies on the Lord shall be surrounded with compassion and lovingkindness.
11

Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous [who actively seek right standing with Him];
Shout for joy, all you upright in heart.
