⚔️ When Temptation Comes Calling… Will You Be Ready?

We all face temptation. Moments when our faith is tested, our decisions are challenged, and the enemy tries to pull us away from God's purpose.

But here's the good news: We don't have to face those battles unprepared! 🙌

This Sunday at Thrive Church, Pastor Kris Kappler will take us into Matthew 4:1–11, where Jesus faces temptation in the wilderness and shows us how to stand firm through the power of God's Word.

Together, we'll discover:

🛡️ How to recognize who we're really up against.

⚔️ How to identify the enemy's tactics and attacks.

📖 How to equip ourselves with God's Word to resist temptation and stand strong in faith.

💚 WOW! $6,302 RAISED! 💚

What an incredible blessing! Our October Rummage Sale was a wonderful success, and it's all because of YOU! 🎉

To everyone who donated items, volunteered their time, helped organize, shopped, or spread the word—THANK YOU!

Together, we raised an amazing $6,302 to support two wonderful causes:

🌎 Mexico Mission Supplies — Helping provide much-needed resources for mission outreach.

💚 American Heritage Girls Scholarship Fund — Helping support opportunities for girls to participate in this meaningful program.

Every donation, every purchase, and every helping hand made a difference. This is what it looks like when a community comes together to serve others!

🌱 Catalyst Workshop: Equipping the Church. Transforming Communities.

Join Sharon Church for a special day of equipping, encouragement, and connection featuring Rich Yoder from One Mission Society.

This workshop will help churches discover where God is already at work and explore how they can be part of what He is doing next. Through four key areas—Discover, Discern, Develop, and Deploy—participants will gain inspiration and practical insight for making a greater impact in their communities.

Churches throughout the Great Lakes Global Methodist Church are invited to come together, build relationships, and explore new opportunities to serve.

❤️ Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness leave the biggest impressions.

At our September Widows Luncheon, 15 wonderful ladies gathered for a time of food, friendship, and fellowship.

But something especially heartwarming happened that day. 🥰

While enjoying their lunch, the ladies noticed an Oakland County Sheriff's deputy dining nearby. Together, they decided to each contribute a dollar and surprise him by paying for his meal!

No grand gesture. No expectation of recognition. Just a group of women choosing to show kindness and appreciation to someone serving our community. ❤️

It's a beautiful reminder that sharing God's love doesn't always require something big. Sometimes, it's as simple as noticing someone and finding a small way to brighten their day.

“Serve one another humbly in love.” — Galatians 5:13

💕 Our next Widows Luncheon will be Wednesday, October 28, at noon at Leo's Coney Island on Milford Road.

We're so grateful for these wonderful ladies and the love they share, both inside and outside our church family!
