Saint George's Episcopal Church

Saint George's Episcopal Church Saint George's is located at
801 E. Commerce Street in Milford, MI. C.C. Mitchell on November 10, 1946.

The first service of Saint George's Episcopal Church of Milford was held in the home of Mr. & Mrs. The church was established as a mission of the Diocese of Michigan; however, it later became a parochial mission under the auspices of All Saints' Episcopal Church in Pontiac. The first official meeting place was the Ferguson Opera House located on the second floor of 301 North Main Street, Milford.

On August 23, 1953, members held the first service in their new building at 801 East Commerce Street. In 1956 the building was enlarged to add a parish house and in 1988 a major renovation enlarged the sanctuary. On February 13, 1963, Saint George's became a full parish in union at the Michigan Diocesan Convention in Bay City.
