The Bible tells us that God created the Heavens and the Earth. On this Monday the 8th thousands of us were witness to that power when we saw the TOTAL eclipse. Something that does not happen very often and won't happen for 20 years. We know that with God all things are possible, and witnessing that miracle with our own eyes should help prove that nothing is beyond His power. So when things seem impossible or you are in a position you don't know what to do...... pray for the knowledge and wisdom of our Hravenly father for guidance. And always remember to give.thanks. It is with a mixture of sadness. and blessing that we must let our members and friends know that our life member, Rev. Robert Highlen has passed over to the spirit side of life. He was a long time member and loyal Spiritualist of Golden Light Churchville it was founded in 1993. Robert was a very integral part of the church for many years. His help as chair of the healing services among other things helped the church grow and still continue today . He will be missed by all. Rest in peace Bob, you've earned it. To say your good byes, join the family on Monday the 13th from 12 - 4 at 5050 Dixie Hwy. At the Country Rock place in the plaza where Ollie's is located in Waterford. God's speed my friend!!

Stop and think about your life....consider just how blessed you are at this moment....We live in a country where we are free, free to speak our minds, free to go to different states, free to work at jobs we love, free to work, just blessed to worship as we please, and best of all free to thank God for all the amazing blessings we enjoy. We need to appreciate all that we have and stop to consider what the alternative is!! Next time you get upset or disgruntled with the politicians, give thanks that we do have the right to cast our votes, we do get to excersise our freedoms. Take pride in our country and take pride when you see the flas flowing in the breeze over this country that so many gave up their lives to keep us free, Thank You to all who have given so much to defend this blessed country!!

Sometime in the early morning hours, I was reminded that soon Golden Light will be celebrating our 48th year as an ISA chartered church. It was done under the guidance of RevLaverne Milliken, who's dream it was to see the congregation join hands and circle the inside of the church. He got to see his dream happen before he passed over. Through out the years since there's been many people who have been essential to the future of Golden Light... Rev. Pa Langdon was an important part in the continued success of the church, along with, Dawn Ware, AL Lopez and so many others. It's ɓeen a long haul but the church is still going on . Hopefully there will be so many more in the future to come....to all those who have stepped into our lives for whatever reason and for however amount of time...God Bless you and thank you. May you come to see us in the future.

We are entering a new season, spring is a time for new life, new beginings, new blessings. It's also a good time to take stock of all the things that God has given us in our lives. I look back on the past and know that it has not always been smooth sailing, there has been hard times, hurt feelings, and loss. As time goes on many times we look back and realize that what we originally thought was loss, it is then that we come to learn that it is /was a blessing.... in the loss of my parents, I found that the memories and the way I was raised has helped make me the person I have come to be....and I was blessed to have the parents I had. At the loss of our great granddaughter at only 3 months...while the pain will always be with us, I, we, we're very blessed to have her for the brief time God saw fit to give us, we got to see some of her personality come out, to see her sweet smile, to see her change from week to week and to be able to show her the love we had for her. So many people don't get that time, that blessing even as brief as it was. I realize each day we are blessed to have another day...another chance to correct our mistakes, to tell our loved ones that we love and appreciate them and to make a difference to someone each day...may God Bless each and everyone today and each day forward!!

Attention!! As of July 2, 2023, we will be holding services at the Highland Actvity Center, formerly known as the Senior Center located at 209 john St. Services start at 10 :30. Off Highland rd.
